It’s quite pathetic to demand answers to questions within seconds of asking a question while you ignore each question, deflect and try to throw the thread off topic.
This is confusing, you say Obama was a president you liked but you also say you dislike the fact that a president uses their power for their own gain. Are you intentionally contradicting yourself?
You mentioned Obama first — direct quoted me actually, short memory I guess? Here, a refresher, post #8
Interesting: Per the OP: President Donald Trump’s golf courses in Ireland and Scotland have been losing money, and it appears Trump has been using government funds to prop up these properties by forcing military members and government officials to stay at his properties. This is highly unusual for the members of the military, who typically stay and refuel at military bases How is this not about golf? lol
Are they golfing? No, so nothing about golf. Pathetic deflection They are stopping military planes at an out of the way civilian airport because its survivability impacts property owned by trump
\ You need to re-read the OP. You said this had nothing to do with golf. Do I need to quote you again?
Agreed What we have seen from this president is that he will not listen to anyone BUT his base. It is up to them now to call him on his unacceptable behaviour
The man likes to play golf. The Secret Service are sworn to protect him. The cost of a trip to play golf is not multi millions, it's $20.25 for a round of golf.
This stopover does not involve the president playing golf. It is about military forces being diverted to prop up a failing airport that a trump property depends on for survival that is out of the way and costs more for both taxpayers and our service members.
"The Trump hotel’s nightly rate of $136 was less than the $161 rate of a nearby Marriott hotel the same aircrew stayed at during their return flight, Thomas said. The maximum per diem rate was $166, Thomas said." This was for a composite crew of active duty and reservists flying a C-17. "The seven-airman crew, which included both active-duty airmen and Air National Guardsmen from Alaska, departed Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Alaska March 13, Thomas said. It flew first to Creech Air Force Base in Nevada, then to Pease International Airport in New Hampshire, before flying to Prestwick." "The flight then proceeded to Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait, and then retraced its steps back to Elmendorf, where it arrived March 19. Thomas said the stops were scheduled to provide the optimum distances between them, and for other practical reasons such as availability of fuel." https://www.airforcetimes.com/news/...umps-scottish-golf-resort-en-route-to-kuwait/ The Holiday Inn on the northwestern outskirts of Peoria will cost you more than that. The Trump accommodations happened to be the least cost in Scotland near the airfield. I know a lady that works in the travel section at Keesler AFB. They have to choose the least cost accommodations that are nearby, for officers and enlisted both.` But neither get subjected to the really cheap roach infested motels with bedbugs.
Another fake scandal. Dems are out of ideas. Air Force defends stopover: Trump's Scotland hotel was the cheapest around https://www.foxbusiness.com/politics/air-force-trump-turnberry-scotland
Politico you mean? Guess you didn’t want to read the source materials? The issue is diverting air traffic — which coincided with trumps inauguration — to a smaller commercial airport away from the usual military airports, at increased costs.
Well that’s a complete lie, Premier Inn 2 miles from the airport is £64 so at the current exchange rate around $80 https://www.premierinn.com/gb/en/ho...&ADULT1=1&CHILD1=0&COT1=0&INTTYP1=DB&BRAND=PI To be clear the Trump Turnberry hotel is 23 miles away, it may be true and this was the only hotel available but if not stupid lies are stupid lies. But something smells fishy, if there was no availability then this was a look of planning surely?
Trump is obviously having financial issue, if he was as rich as he claimed, he would not need to resort to bilking the tax payers
