Could be his new strategy. Keep America focused on his minor stupidities instead of his massive fails.

Maybe I didn’t make myself clear. That might be Trump’s new strategy.

You sir are one of those who either fail to understand that map or are having fantasies about what that map means. You are also failing to take into consideration of the date/time that map was issued vs when ODL made his prediction that Alabama would get hit worse than " previously thought". Or you know what the map means and are just obstructing the truth for ODL.

"It has been reported" is several levels below " an anonymous source " and is a completely meaningless statement.
As for the leftist media's misuse and deceit of late with anonymous sources that worth a thread of its own

Calling it ironic is the farthest from a smear, and what gives that news outlet that much more acceptance.

You made yourself clear, you think Trump is making the lefties drool all over themselves due to their own ignorance of how to read the map he presented.

There is literally no difference. If citing anonymous sources is more credible than saying “it has been reported,” why wouldn’t someone who is making up a story cite to made-up anonymous sources instead of saying “it has been reported”? You’re splitting hairs to excuse your dumb comment. Just accept that your position is entirely influenced by your political leanings.

Huge difference between the two. Anonymous source and hopefully sources as good journalism requires more than one source and at least implies there is an actual person with knowledge of an event. "It has been reported" has no foundational meaning whatsoever and could mean anything you want it to mean. It could very well mean some other article made the claim in question which could be nothing but an opinion piece so yeah it's been reported. LOL

Virtually everyone knows that the MSM is untrustworthy.

"After Davis publicly backtracked from the claims, the New York Post and the Washington Post outed him as their confirming source and published apologies from Davis, a lawyer and communications expert who became well known for his work for Bill Clinton. The original CNN story — broadcast during Chris Cuomo’s prime-time show and written by Jim Sciutto, Marshall Cohen, and Watergate reporting legend Carl Bernstein — said that Davis had “declined to comment.” His involvement in the story, on so-called “background,” has not been previously reported."

Davis, Michael Cohen’s lawyer and spokesperson, said he also regrets lying about his involvement in the story on CNN last week., By Steven Perlberg,

Every news network had had their occasional FUBAR. FOX included. At least CNN admitted it's FUBAR.

that is a Presidential statement, it's sad that some people hold a reporter to such higher standards than a President

For all objective Americans Trump will always be viewed as a stable genius when compared to meteorologists.

    Which is why NOAA "blinked".

"On Friday, the computer models were in agreement on a landfall somewhere along Florida’s east coast early next week. Overnight, though, as Dorian continued its rapid intensification, the models blinked. Some of them still showed a Florida landfall, but the majority shifted their forecast tracks to the east."

The IBD is a specialized business investor news source. It is not a part of the MSM.

The IBD and the LAT/USC Daybreaker tracking poll were the most accurate polls during the last election cycle.

Here is a link to the actual official NHC hurricane forecast for Dorian. Only a few square miles of Alabama were in the 5-day cone. It would be silly to say Alabama was ever in danger of being hit by the hurricane.

    https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/archive/2019/DORIAN_graphics.php?product=5day_cone_no_line_and_wind
The graphic on August 30 at 5 pm EDT through August 31 at 5 am shows this. The whole tropical storm force wind bull is just a way that the CG admiral can say something to defend Trump without lying.

Not higher but different. Journalists and journalism has to adhere to certain standards when informing America or they lose credibility. They are supposed to relate facts not innuendo. A president making a statement on Twitter is expressing his opinion, what he believes and what he thinks.

Yes, but that's not how the spaghetti models are used. The real U.S. government forecast by NOAA's NHC never showed Alabama (other than a few square miles in the far SE corner) being in the forecast of the 5-day cone (much less the 3-day cone). Here's a link to the actual forecast. The graphic on August 30 at 5 pm EDT through August 31 at 5 am shows this. Those are the only time that Alabama is at all forecast to be in danger.
