1. Always sailed close to scandal, one might eventually stick 2. Perceived racism may animate African American and Latino voters? 3. Just him basically being a jerk? 4. Potential foreign policy screw-ups 5. Other?
If he loses it will because people think he's a jerk. If he wins it will be because people know the media is lying.
He may not lose. If he does it will be because his opponent is seen to be more grounded in reality and not an unhinged loose cannon like him. If the Democrats can’t win this one, they should disband the party and start a new one.
Trump's opponent will come across as far more in charge and understanding of national and world problems.
i think it's clear he's a jerk, the media is lying about him in regards to the things he says and does. I am not sure Trump will win.. but it's going to be very close and whoever wins the American people will lose.
The economy will make or break him. His approval rating would likely be in the single digits if we were in a recession. Those who overlook his verbose diatribes may not continue supporting him in a bear market with massive layoffs.
That remains to be seen. If they he Democrats nominate someone who comes off as more unhinged than Trump, he could win.
I voted, "Other".... "It's the ECONOMY, stupid!", comes to mind. Without rehashing dozens of my posts in other threads, Trump's greatest danger to his re-election is, ultimately, way too much pandering to Wall Street stock market gamblers! Sure, there's been a tax cut. Who has enjoyed the REAL benefits of that? Yes, unemployment is at the lowest point since 1969, but people are still working for CRAP WAGES. So, you get a slight tax cut... but you've still got a nation with an overpowering majority of what are CRAP WAGES. "It's the economy, stupid!" Worse, he's fighting against interest rate increases that are needed to balance the economy at exactly the time that we ARE having growth! And he does this why? To suppress the value of the American dollar and to save Europe. Why? Because American big-biz exporters WANT him to. To hell with enhanced purchasing power for the money in YOUR bank account.... And, even worse than that, he's completely pissing away (and, pissing OFF) the people who have retired on Social Security, or will be retiring very soon -- THE BABY BOOMERS! Social Security hasn't had anything but laughable cost-of-living increases in TEN F*CKING YEARS -- when there have been any increases at all! Take a look! So, while Trump's fighting tooth-and-nail to support stock market equity values and big-biz corporations, über alles, does he have even ONE WORD of encouragement to 70,000,000 voting Baby Boomers concerning cost-of-living increases in Social Security? I have not heard ONE WORD from him about this topic -- and that can have enormous, game-changing consequences in the next election. Especially if some Democrat candidate wakes up and focuses on this election-winning issue instead of dwelling on 'racism, white-privilege, death-by-carbon-dioxide', and other trendy, politically-correct nonsense. "It's the economy, stupid!"
Actually..... I think that The Squad have already crushed the USA Democratic Party's chances in 2020. 2020 is basically over... and President Trump almost already has his second term secured. My question is will President Trump wait until after the election to announce his plans to coopt some of the Andrew Yang platform??????? ANDREW YANG FOR PRESIDENT 2020 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donald_Trump
... BUT..... women are allowed to change their minds in the USA and....... women fear other women so for the moment they lie and say that they would never vote for President Trump...... then on election day if the Dems can't find somebody vastly better than Hillary....... .they are doomed again........
All of the above and more. He has now alienated all but his most devoted minions and once the economy falters they will also begin to wander.
Wrong thread, you want my 'Why Will Donald Trump Win the 2020 Election?' poll further down the board.
