Was this specifically because of the anniversary? Or was this just a coincidence? Or does it have something to so with the recently cancelled talks with the Taliban?
The Taliban considers all US presence in their country as a hostile force that invaded their country, and so they can go kill Americans. It's not as if the US would allow any foreign forces in their country controlling things. So don't go complain about it.
Only way to be sure that American civilians are also legal targets if the US goes like that. If the US doesn't like to be attacked in that country,... than you know... leave.
Nonsense. The US showed with the American Venezuelan Embassy that it did not respect Embassies in any way. It has opened the doors for any country to do anything they want with American Embassies. Oh and by the way speaking of Venezuela Venezuela's Guaidó pictured with members of Colombian gang There is an old saying 'Do unto others as you would have them do unto you'. If the US did that it may find it did not need to suffer minor inconveniences which this seems to be - it mentions nothing of deaths or injuries.
Except for the Venezuelan Embassy in Washington DC. In that case, the US government put the embassy under siege and eventually stormed and invaded that embassy.
That's right... the Talibanis have had it and are determined to fight for their right to exist. ‘We can fight Americans for 100 years,’ Taliban tells RT after scrapped peace talks The year-long peace process was shut down by President Donald Trump just days ahead of a formal signed agreement. The draft had even been initialed by both parties, top Taliban negotiator Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanikzai told RT. He added that he does not see the US decision as set in stone, however, and said the group remains committed to negotiations. O.k., they leave the door a crack-wide open. The ball is now in Trump's corner! The Afghan people were brutally hurt and insulted. Trump needs to apologize on behalf of the American people and offer some form of compensation. Maybe that's what the Talibanis want to talk about. https://www.rt.com/news/468745-taliban-war-hundred-years/
