Two things are certain. Rasmussen turned out to be the most accurate pollster in 2016, and you the worst.
No, I don't wonder. Media coverage of him is 92% negative. Most of it is inane stupid things like getting 2 scoops of ice-cream. There are some legitimate ones. But most is just spin. There are many that believe the Media was very soft on Obama.
You're right. Rasmussen, flawed as it is, has moved in Trump's favor, as have some other polls (slightly). But still. Fox has Trump losing in a hypothetical matchup to Kamala Harris. That should scare the Trump people to their core. https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/latest_polls/ Much can change in a year, and much can get worse. Does anyone get the feeling we're on an upward trajectory anymore? I don't. The economy has slowed, the deficit is up, our allies don't like us and our enemies are getting away scott-free with attacking our "friends", and Trump doesn't even make an effort anymore to hide his narcissism. Only his most loyal supporters would say Trump is a "good" person. I don't see things getting any better. I think the Trump Administration's high-water mark (like Obama) was the day before their respective midterms.
[ ole No it wasn’t the most accurate poll. The others were more accurate and that is why people stayed home who would have voted. I am happy when I hear people say that republicans will win because that got people out in 2018 and if they hear that now they will get out and vote and they saw the problem with not voting.
The Trumpers know they have real problems going into election year. But . . . if a centrist or leftist third party emerges, 45% is enough throw Dough Boy across the finish line in first place.
Don’t be angry at the media, be angry at what they report and that is what Trump tweets and what’ he says. They report about the economy. They report about Russia and North Korea and other enemy countries. You want to live in a bubble Trump told you that he hires only the best people and so far more people have been fired or quit than any other president. Should that not be reported? Tell us what he does that is so wonderful.
The right centrist might also steal votes from Trump. I would not have thought so before the thread on Tulsi Gabbard
Centrists and moderates are more likely to vote for Biden or Warren, and split with Harris and Sanders and Trump. Tulsi Gabbard would steal votes from Trump. None of the four Dems are in the dislike category, or anywhere near it, of HRC.
Sharpiegate was not two scoops of ice cream It was a warning bell that someone’s bats are loose in the belfry
The media has been more than fair to Trump. The media realized that when Trump announced that Obama had been born in the US and THEN refused to talk about it, the collective media said, "OK, mister, you are on notice."
His approval is below his disapproval. He's trailing all the leading Democrats. There's no good news for him. And he's really stupid so it's only going to get worse.
Actually Obama's approval was 51% during the same time of his presidency: https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/president_obama_job_approval-1044.html
You're obviously not informed on the topic, so why do you post about it? In the 2016 presidential election, Rasmussen, along with IBD/TIPP, were the most accurate, each predicting Hillary would get a +2% majority vote, which is what she got. http://www.rasmussenreports.com/pub...lection_2016/rasmussen_reports_calls_it_right
According to Rasmussen his approval is currently at 52%, his disapproval 47%. Sorry, but I trust Rasmussen's polling far more than I trust your biased left-wing political opinions. http://www.rasmussenreports.com/pub...p_administration/prez_track_sep20?fullbrowser
The polls have Trump losing to just about everyone because just about everyone on the left has a quick knee-jerk negative reaction to Trump, whereas the conservative voters aren't even participating yet in these early head-to-head polls, at least IMO. As much as the left hates Trump, I think they underestimate the degree to which the average American hates the policies of the left, and that's what will show up in the end.
What cons think of Trump does not matter. It's what the right center and independents think, and they think generally he is crap.
Right/Center would vote for Trump over Warren 100% of the time. More so than if Hillary were running...
Sanders, yes. Warren, maybe. Biden, no. This is an open border. Germany-France This is not. Canada-USA Democrats are not in favor of open borders. Bernie isn't going to be the nominee. Some Democrats, but none of the Democratic Party candidates. The law has never been designed to stop illegal immigration. I go back to living in Southern California in the 1950s and braceros. They haven't gotten it for citizens because Republicans have stood in the way. I think providing medical care is a humanitarian issue. Forced and voluntary are night-and-day. "Forced buyback" is Beto's last shot at getting the brass ring. He's on his own out there. "Cancel culture?" What are you talking about? You won't be facing a "take your guns" Democrat, so forget Beto. If the economy slows significantly, and it's slowing now, Trump could lose the one thing he had going for him. Trump will have to come up with something better if he wants to win. A war, perhaps?
Yes, it was. I've heard many Democrats and Moderates say the whole thing was blown way out of proportion. No, not the media... personally.
The media twists what is said. You want an example of media bias shaping a narrative? Look to the Times covers. Look towards Obama on them. He's always portrayed in a good light. Smiling, doing something admirable etc etc. When it comes to Trump? Nothing but pictures that depicts him in a negative way. Frowning, caricatures etc etc. What people see is half of the perception battle. The rest of it is in how words are used, phrases phrased etc etc. Words are powerful and if you phrase something just right you can start wars while making everyone think that the other guy started it. Another example of media spin is when it came out that Google was manipulating their algorithms to push a narrative and Trump talked about it they claimed that he had no evidence. Yet in the same article they claimed that, they provided the example of leaked documents and a whistle blower from Google itself. Which IS evidence no matter their claim that there was none. And that is just one obvious example. Its one thing to report on what is said. It is quite another to manipulate that reporting to put it forth in such a way as to elicit a pre-determined reaction. The vast majority of people are recognizing it also. That is why the Media's approval rating is around 11-13 percent. I know that Trump haters want to blame it on Trump but plain fact of the matter is that their approval rating was down in the dumps way before Trump even ran for the Presidency. I'm all for the media reporting on anything bad that a President does. Or good. What I am against is them using words to form a narrative that they want to push. They should be letting The People decide, not them trying to manipulate them towards a pre-determined narrative.
Showing crossing points vs border security zones =/= everything entailed in an open borders policy. Probably. But he IS one of the current contenders and that IS being seen. You were saying? Link: Illegal Entry That's 14 contenders that want penalties removed for entering the country illegally. Including top contender next to Biden, Elizabeth Warren. If you remove the penalties for entering the country illegally what do you think the result will be? That's a load of crock. Reality has gotten in the way. There are over 300 million people in the US. How are you going to pay for that? Where are the resources going to come from? Doctors (of which we have a shortage of btw U.S. Doctor Shortage Could Hit 90,000 By 2025)? No, its really not. You criminalize a gun, ie ban it, and the only difference between the two is that one is out in the open confiscation and the other is hidden relying on individuals to be caught with such a banned gun and then letting the individual cases wind through the court. In the end its "turn in your gun or you will face consequences". Both are forms of force being used. One is just more blatant. Where people scream and holler until someone is fired for something that happened years or decades ago. For example that one guy that got fired from SNL because he said something offensive years ago while telling a JOKE. Getting people fired for stating their opinion. Canceling shows because they're too "offensive"...or at least trying to. IE: Cancel culture. Look it up. Its real. And its happening. Even CNN recognizes it: Link It's going to have to do more than just slow down. It's going to have to tank. People understand the market slowing down. They won't put up with it tanking.
Of course you trust Rasmussen’s pollng because it says what everyone knows.. that it is a right wing poll..But if it makes you feel better, believe it
What polling do you trust? Here's a hint- we can cite the flaws in every poll. Have you read 'What Happened" By Hillary Clinton? I'm guessing you voted and supported her. You should read her book and her and Obama's views on polling.
