Me: I say that while there is no doubt that the Democrats are biased, that for the Republicans to point that out is a pot meets kettle moment. But I also agree with the Democrats that those who are innocent have nothing to hide. Obstruction implies that team Trump has something to hide. I say if team Trump is innocent then fully comply with the impeachment inquiry. If the Democrats try to misrepresent the evidence then call them out on it. To do anything less is to risk being perceived by a large portion of the public as hiding something which may cost the Republicans the Senate or even the Presidency come 2020. Despite the demands of Democrats in the House, demands not backed by a force renders the demand impotent. It is obvious that Trump has no fear of denying Congress. Yet he has many times acquiesced to court judgments against him. So let us hope that when this is taken to court, that if Trump looses that he does not deny the courts. I fear the consequences to America if that were to happen.

 

I don't. Trump has always backed down in numerous occasion when others stood up to him. I guess you haven't read about his policy reversals when enough people stood up to him. You also haven't read about how our Military respects the rule of law. If the Supreme Courts says that he needs to resign he will.

I’ve already repeatedly posted it. The House votes for an official impeachment inquiry, it goes to th judicial committee for hearing, and vote is then conducted for formal articles of impeachment, the house then votes on them, and what has a majority is sent to the senate for trial.

 

This is quickly becoming the dumbest thing I've ever seen. Bottom line is very very simple, you have the call so if you think it's impeachable go for it. The way the dems are doing this is a farce and the country doesn't like unfair. You only want dems to be able to subpoena anyone, you do it behind close doors and then only leak what dems thinks sounds bad. It's incredible short sided and will be seen for what it is. The Dems don't want to take a vote so only they have control of what's being leaked and this will be seen as unfair by anyone that's not a political hack. If you believe in it, have the vote, have the hearings in the open, let the people see your claims.

Face the facts, the dems screwed up by letting Schiff take the lead. He lied about Russia, he himself tried to get Ukraine dirt from a foreign government and we got the prank call. He lied about meeting with the whistleblower before the complaint. He lied about what was in the call transcript and Trump called the bluff be releasing the call to eliminate all the BS they were planning to say was on the call. We've all seen transcript, we all know Schiff met with whistleblower precomplaint, we all know they were directed to go to the biased law firm, we all know the complaint was changed to get it to Schiff's committee and all we're left with is a bunch of noise trying to prove there was different meanings to words we all read. Time to step up or shut up, yet we know the dems desperately want to run this investigation through the election cycle to gain a perceived election advantage. Trump again called your bluff, this is going to the courts and will be held up all the way to the SC. Now you either wait or have the vote to impeach. That's the only option.
