Then you should have no problem granting due process, which you desperately don't want. Only a scum, unworthy of being an american would deny it, or cheer a congress for doing it. Team sports
Due process is for the accused. It's for those accused of a crime and rarely is anyone accused unless they have probable cause of committing a crime. So are you saying Trump probably committed a crime hence the scrutiny of the law being brought against him? Oops. The constitution is large there to protect the unpopular and criminals. It's not a high bar to defend the president with. Duh. More over, this is a political process, not a legal one so that doesn't really apply anyway.
Whoops. Nope, I never said he committed a crime. Impeachment isn't a criminal process nor do you have to be proven or even commit a crime to be impeached. You can be impeached for being really bad at your job. I don't know if Trump committed a crime on the Ukraine call. I'm inclined to say know. What he did do was use a position of power to gain something of value. That's an offense against his office that you wouldn't stand to allow if a certain African American president had done it and rightly so. Therefore, impeachment pie it is my friend.
Trump handed over the transcript of the call which the whistle blower claimed existed. There is no longer any need for the whistleblower’s identity. If Trump had claimed the call was never made and demanded to face his accuser, then I would agree he had that right. Now, it doesn’t matter. It’s like a bank robber providing a video of the bank robbery then demanding to interview the camera.
You can just say you have no idea and are just parroting silly whitehouse talking points. It’s not like anyone would be surprised.
Please post the statute where a President can't request another country we have a treaty to mutually investigate corruption, investigate another person political rival or not? You say it's a crime.
