    Ukraine president: 'No blackmail' in conversation with Trump
    Ukraine's president insisted Thursday, Oct. 10th, 2019, that he faced "no blackmail" from President Donald Trump in their phone call that led to an impeachment inquiry, distancing himself from the U.S. political drama and trying to claw back his own credibility.

    Zelenskiy said for the first time that his country will "happily" investigate the conspiracy theory pushed by Trump that it was Ukrainians, not Russians, who interfered in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.

    And     he encouraged U.S. and Ukrainian prosecutors to discuss investigating a gas company linked to the son of Trump's Democratic rival Joe Biden, although no one has produced evidence of criminal wrongdoing by the former U.S. vice-president or his son.

    Finally there comes a response from Kiev, and it is very nicely worded, as not to offend anyone!
    I hope the two Bidens and their involvement in the Ukraine gas company in question will be investigated. It really does sound fishy and there will never be peace until all has been perfectly aired and cleared.
    That it has been the Ukraine who interfered in the 2016 election campaign is new to me... I must have had the day off when it first was discussed.
    Trump doesn't have it easy. He is fighting for his own survival as well as for the country.

    Doesn’t matter to Dems. They believe what they want. Doesn’t matter if the person supposedly being blackmailed admits he wasn’t. They want corruption and they’ll just keep talking about it and accusing people like they have since 2016. How many more lies do they need to push?

    And if he did say Trump put the screws to him then what would you expect Trump to do to them, nukes?

    If anyone anywhere mocks Trump, especially a foreign leader, then the left will automatically give them whatever status they need in order to be protected. If the Uks bashed Trump with just a simple three word sentence, the left would treat them like they were all black transgender gay anti gun communist illegal aliens which would make anything negative said about them racist and subject to impeachment.

    Oh, and I guess you either forgot or Maddow hasn't mentioned it yet, but the Uks already admitted to trying to help Clinton during the last election.

    Lutsenko is probing a claim from a member of the Ukrainian parliament that the director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU), Artem Sytnyk, attempted to influence the 2016 vote to the benefit of Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

    A claim is being probed? It’s pretty clear at this point we can’t trust much coming out of Ukraine. Our FBI seems able to sort it out. Let me know what they say.

    As a former comedian he could have put on a bit of an act and added some extra drama than what the Democrats are already doing!

    Dressed in a suit and no tie, switching between Ukrainian, Russian and sometimes English, Zelenskiy’s news conference ended just after midnight (2100 GMT).

    He addressed his relations with Ihor Kolomoisky, one of Ukraine’s wealthiest men.
    He also accused Russia of delaying a summit aimed at resolving the conflict between Kiev and Russian-backed forces in the Donbass region.
    But the press conference repeatedly circled back to Ukraine’s role in the impeachment inquiry — Zelenskiy at one point lowered his head in mock exasperation and grinned at yet another question on the issue. He said he had no desire to interfere in the U.S. election next year but added that he was prepared to do a joint investigation into Burisma.

    “And we are ready to investigate interference in the (2016) election from the Ukrainian side, if it took place. There is much information on this out there. But it has to be confirmed.”

    Trump has already cut off money to Ukraine once, and he just left another ally heavily dependent on US support to the tender mercies of the Turkish military. The idea that anyone whose nation depended on US support as much as Ukraine does would be honest about Trump blackmailing them is laugh out loud funny.

    Zelensky knows that Trump would sell Ukraine out in a heartbeat. That press conference in DC a week or two ago looked more like a hostage video. He knows that his nation's interests depend on keeping an unstable narcissist happy. He will do or say whatever he needs to.
