I have a bottle of Most Champagne in the fridge for 31 October 2019. Hopefully the best day in UK history, out of the EU. Can't wait to crack it open. What is your tipple to celebrate a historical day. Moody posts also welcome if you need to release some tension.
Taittinger. We should rightfully drink English sparkly, I suppose, but hell - that might be all we have to drink for the next 100 years - so I'm not in a rush
Instead of paying £35 a bottle, spend £37. If you don't wish to spend £37, buy Scrumpy Jack cider. That means the Champagne area of France goes bust and our cider industry picks up. They need us more than we need them because we import more. Doomsters will learn this in time, it's a struggle educating them.
Of course they do. Germany too and Italy and Spain. But it isn't Europeans we want to leave, is it? I was joking about British sparkly
With the climate changing, our wines will get better, lol. I buy the £9.99 Wilko's white wine home brew, got one in a demijohn with about a week to go. Got a Rose one brewing as well.
Nice - I usually make Elderflower wine and sloe gin --- didn't get around to it this year though. Never mind I'll make up for it next --- might even try Elderflower fizz - nought like a good Champas though - mmmm or a pinta best bitter -
I was thinking of filling one of the water butts up with Carlesberg Special Brew, sticking my head in and drinking my way out.
try some of the Kent wines Chaple Down or Biddenden...they're really good....and not French........perfect for those indulgent moments
It'll be Halloween and there's Halloween parties happening, I wonder if my Boris Johnson costume'll go down well? As for drinking something, why not scotch whiskey? It's British, Scotland's leaving the EU too, I say, drink scotch... Or... Drink bourbon, honour our future relationship with America.
Have a Brexit/Halloween Party, serve a mixture of British and New World drinks including bourbon, scotch whiskey, rum, beers and wine.
I take it you've never been to Soho on Halloween when everyone's dressed up going to Halloween parties.
He's not standing up for me. He is working against my interests in order to further his own political ambitions.
No. I opposed the illegal prorogation of parliament. I oppose an unelected leader scheming to leave the EU with no deal against the wishes of the people. I oppose ruining the economy based on an advisory vote informed by lies on a bus.
By our constitution where it comes to handing over sovereignty to a foreign power the franchise must be consulted. That did not happen in 1972 - it did happen in 2016. That is it - by our own constitution we must leave every part of the EU by which we were illegally bound in every Treaty with it. If you are a Remoaner as opposed to a Remain voter then I have no sympathy with you. Your side have used every treachery conceivable to keep is in a protection racket posing as an Empire - within which there is not one smidgen of democracy.
It was not illegal - the EU/SC made up a law using a false precedent (a 1611 proclamation to do with criminality not politics as in; where a politician was the perpetrator of an actual crime), after the fact. By our constitution it was not illegal as attested by our highest legal authorities in the High Court judgement - Art 9 Bill or Rights 1689 ( The SC is made up of minor judges, academics and ECJ judges)- Dear God the Labour Party constantly prorogued Parliament for a year to push through nationalization - Major prorogued to avoid questions on a scandal. Judges have no rights to make judgements on 'purely political matters'. None of us based our judgement on a bus. It was not politician's vote it was ours.
