Interesting, as there is no drought anywhere in California right now except for a small sliver of the state on the south east border. If global warming, there would be a drought. There is no drought. There is no global warming. Get it? So who is burning down the Ding-Dong State?
I remember back in the day like back during the 1970's and before, to be able to have a commercial drivers licence you had to be able to read, write and understand and speak English. The left said that a regulation like that was racist and xenophobic and NAFTA would allow non English speaking Mexican truckers to drive on America's highways.
A few weeks ago I was at a Chevron station in Costa Mesa topping off my gas tank ($ 50) The guy behind me around my age was bitching about California's gas prices about to pay $80 to fill up his tank. I said... "Remember when America was great and gas only cost .25 cents per gallon ?" The cashier behind the counter was Mexican and quickly said "I was a racist." The guy behind me jaw dropped and says "I should call the gas station corporate office and get this cashier fired." I replied..."Pretty sure he's a protected class in California." The Mexicans in California have been indoctrinated on Telemundo and Univision that white Americans are blaming Hispanic immigrants for the high gas prices in California. Obvious Spanish language television and radio have adopted cultural-marxism and are agitating and causing trouble by dividing society. If you remember when gas cost .25 cents per gallon...you are a racist.
And as the sun slowly rose in the East, great wagon trains began departing America's most historic Western towns -- towns like Los Angeles, Sacramento, San Francisco and San Diego, extending across the state like giant serpents returning to some unknown lair to begin anew a life post-California Dreamin', a life insecure that no one was sure they could survive, but leaving the state to democrat thugs and evil despots that would certainly kill them eventually in a once great state to now be divided up among themselves how they wished. Maybe Oklahoma. Maybe Kansas. Just anywhere but here in the belly of that wanton, criminal beast. "Wagons Ho!" echoed the cry heard throughout the land.
Well, aren't we just all the optimist today? Tsk. Oh yeah, Waco. A big reason Bill Clinton should be in a prison on death row.
Remember back when America was great and there was a gas station just about on every corner and the gas stations were at war with each other ? They were called GAS WARS. A Gasoline Price War in St. Petersburg, Florida, 1964 This October 22, 1964, press photo shows thrifty motorists lined up for over a block to take advantage of the gas price wars which were common at the time. All this waiting in line would net the driver an average savings of three cents a gallon, but at the time saving a dollar was a big thing to many, especially at the time with the largely retired population of St. Peterburg. The caption tells us that these motorists were filling up at the prices seen on the signs which were down from 24.9 and 26.9 the day before. The manager of Meyer’s Shell Service at 1517 Central Ave. told the reporter that he was getting 26.9 for regular and 30.9 for high test. It is interesting to note that all of the big American gas hogs are in line waiting, while a smaller gas sipping Fiat drives right on by. The Old Motor photo. This entry was posted in Auto photos 1946 - 1965, Gasoline stations and tagged Gas Wars, Shell Service Station, St. Petersburg Fla... http://theoldmotor.com/?p=49349 During a real shooting war before America was great, gas was really expensive during war time.
You are aware the prices shown above were adjusted for inflation and weren't the actual price one was paying back then ?
yes, the crops are taking up a lot of water resources, avocado's, fruits, ect... but as long as Americans demands them, they will keep using the water - it's hard to regulate water wells, as each farm thinks it's there well, their water, how do they address this?
The trees they loved so much have turned on them. That's what happens when good trees go bad. Perhaps some disciplined thinning would have helped.
The California almond requires 1.1 gallons of water for each almond. California exports 65% of its almonds to China and other countries around the world. What California needs to do is stop exporting the almond but exporting the liberal nuts from California.
Every state hates California today. An obstructionist state in rebellion against the U.S. Constitution and the current executive branch of the federal government. The only ally California has today is Mexico and Central America who uses California as a penal colony and to send their country's losers too.
That is a definite possibility. I have noticed that all right wing pro Trump media have been involved in a concerted campaign to trash California for years now. Even though California is a blue State there are millions of Trumpists here who hate the state now after being filled with the garbage being spewed out by propaganda outlets who are fed daily by right wing so called “think tanks” made up of professional propagandists who are paid billions to churn out their crafty garbage. According to Mueller’s report they are now being supplemented by Russian Military operations like the IRA out of Moscow too. The hard core Trumpists here in California are an angry and unhinged bunch just like their idol. I would not put sabotage or anything else beneath these people. A few weeks back I was at the post office in Littlerock and a guy in front of me went nuts when the lady at the post office sold him a book of stamps with a picture of Marvin Gay on them. He started screaming about Robert E Lee statues being torn down and insulting the woman along with black people in general and making racist statements. He had on a Trump 2020 hat and bumper stickers degrading Mexicans on his truck. The post office worker took back the stamps, gave him back his money and told him to get the hell out and never come back. He left, screaming and cursing and screeched out of the parking lot. Tensions seem to be getting a little high these days.
Do you think the IPCC should fine countries on fires/disasters? Or give countries a fire pollution rating when working out UN funding percentages?
Go ahead call a garbage truck whose garbage is on fire propaganda and the Mexican truck driver spews the burning garbage along the roadway that erupts into a raging wildfire that killed an American and burned American homes to the ground.
like I said, it's a tough one, is the government gonna tell people what they can grow on their land and who they can sell too, how much water they can use from there own wells, ect... look at the stink the right put up when cattle farmers let their cattle roam on federal land and the government tried to granted, I think the government needs to set rules for corps to stop them from excessive foreign outsourcing and foreign imports - so maybe there is room for more government control of corps if that is what you think is needed
