Are you referring to the Mercatus report? Becuase, if so, you really ought to read it. Sanders was at the height of intellectual dishonesty when he claimed that it "accidentally proved the viability" of M4All. In fact, it just looked at Sanders' proposal and put together the numbers as if that proposal were even possible. At the beginning of the study, they make it clear that what Sanders' proposed is not only highly unlikely, but that M4All would likely not survive, let alone cost less than several trillion more than proposed.
And where does that money go now and how will people stop spending it? Do you believe, as Bernie does, that healthcare providers are going to cut prices by 40% and still provide the same quality, amount, and access to services as they do now?
What is the per-capita wealth of Americans compared to those nations and why wouldn't Americans, having significantly more wealth, want to spend it on important things like healthcare?
1. False 2. Less overhead, but Private Insurance controls costs and fraud. Medicare fraud is a major problem because they don't have the administrative layer that squeezes it out 3. Medicare rates are set by CMS. They don't bargain like private carriers. Not surprising that you still didn't get it, but the answer is in the Medicare for All bill, so I'll ask again, explain by what mechanism Medicare for All will "drastically lower the cost of healthcare?
I understand and agree with that, but it doesn’t change how much influence they hold over our elected reps.
MSU accomplished more than anybody else. What other audits have taken place of Pentagon accounting practices? NONE
Yes that's true. Another method that could contribute to tax revenue for healthcare would be the one proposed by nurses a few years back--a small tax on financial transactions. The casino-like betting done every day on the stock exchange could provide significant funds if taxed at a very low rate per transaction.
A few in Congress like Ron Paul and others have been trying to audit the Pentagon for years, but TPTB will not let it happen. Ditto for the Fed, and of course ditto for the gold supposedly in Fort Knox. Besides UFOs, the government is extremely secretive and deceptive about many things.
Expect links to vital statistics reports that "prove" it will be "superior, at a fraction of the cost".
Then there is no reason for homeowners insurance companies to be involved in the housing market. Or auto insurance companies to be involved in automobiles. Or life insurance companies. Or liability insurance comapnies. Think you and our economy would be better without them?
Why not? Most if not all countries in the EU got it. And they paying much less. Why are Americans being ripped off by the pharmaceutical industry and the health industry? It is, because your average American will shop for the best car for the money it saved.... but just pays any bill a hospital comes up with. How much? Sure.. "it will be fine". I heard stories from people who go on vacation to Mexico, and while there... have their eyes lasered or a dental in a nice private clinic.
so back to you not knowing how single payer works. Medicare is still cheaper than private insurance, even with fraud. i didn’t say they did. i just showed you.
They found documents, claimed that the documents document undocumented documentation and insinuated that they document undocumented spending, which they clearly don't. That's tantamount to nothing as well. They certainly didn't audit anything. It's pretty much akin to going through Zillow, adding up the absolute value of every housing price adjustment they've made over 20 years, and then demanding to know how Zillow spent the sum they arrived at.
