I've always liked Rand Paul. I really like his stance on staying out of needless wars in the middle east. President Trump ran on that and so does Rand Paul. Rand Paul takes on congress in his impassioned speech. He also takes on the media for being cowards and not printing the whistle blower's name. If the whistle blower was supporting Trump, his name would have been released two weeks ago.
It is illegal to publicly disclose the name of the whistleblower. That's why Rand Paul does not do it himself. Instead he tries to pressure "the media" into committing an illegal act. Who is the coward again?
And for all those folks in the background wearing the "Read the Transcript" T-shirts (that were supplied by the Trump campaign), I decided to help:
Rand was on point last night. I respect him because he's principled and he works well with POTUS. Poor guy was almost murdered by a Bernie supporter, and then later severely assaulted by another deranged leftist.
Rand is Dead WRONG. Rand is a MORON. I actually find it hard to believe that anybody would take anything seriously spewing from the Pea-Brain of that the MINDLESS IMBECILE (who is wishy-washy and blows with the wind). Rand Paul?
No, I am not kidding you. Trump is going to be impeached because he abused the power of his office when he requested campaign assistance from a foreign government in the form of an investigation against a domestic political opponent while he simultaneously and unilaterally held up hundreds of millions in military aid, a requested meeting, and a restoration of trade rights. Trump then obstructed justice when he tried to hide, lie about, and actively obstructed the investigation by ordering all current and former employees to not cooperate.
a) the identity of the whistleblower is protected by law. b) The tel-con, released by the president, differs only slightly and primarily in the interpretation of intent.
always was a big Rand Fan, would have voted for him in the primary but he had already dropped out by then. Happy to have him out there representing us!
that's a little much for a t-shirt. "It was a good call, it was a productive call" that fits on a shirt. I read the transcript, about 5 seconds after that I decided this nonsense was a bunch of hooey.
ya, i've been staying out of the threads (for the most part) related to that subject, got tired of the daily leaks and nothing of substance, I figure when something real happens I'll find out about it pretty quickly. We've got a couple on this site that are completely obsessed with the subject, I feel bad for their spouses (assuming they were lucky enough to find someone that can tolerate the personality quirks)
I would suggest re-evaluating that decision. The transcript that we now know was only a small part of the shadow diplomatic campaign to pressure Ukraine into investigating Trump's political adversaries and the transcript which we now know was left incomplete
Impeach away. Let's get on with it. What are you waiting for? What part of, this will hurt the alt-lefties far more than Trump do you not get.
The part where you think you are convincing anyone that your "throw me in the briar patch" talking point is anything more than sheer desperation in the face of an inevitable impeachment.
Spouses? I think you meant Parents and your choice of the word obsessed is also a bit mild. Clearly the rational thinking has tired of the crazies and if they keep it up, they may wind up losing the house.
