    One of the things I've never found a good account for is why the Russians were so thorough in illicitly making sure that their democratic surrogates were or were not effectively using the support they were receiving from the russians...

    The exact extent his attacks were successful can never be calculated, but that does not serve as an excuse for America surrendering to further attacks.

    Even if every bomb dropped on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1942 had missed, the US would not dismiss it as, "Oh well, no harm done!"

    His agenda in sabotaging the US election (as he does other democratic nations) was primarily to disseminate disinformation and to sew discord.

    The candidate that he chose to help, at some point, winning the electoral vote was a bonus.

    He has the book on the dysfunctional narcissist, and plays him like a balalaika.

    Trump's erratic behavior, his abdication of US global leadership in climate change, arms control, etc., his weakening of NATO, his abandonment of Northern Syria to Russia, his attempt to substitute his phony claims about Ukraine (the victim of Putin's invasion) and not Russia as meddling in the 2016 election, his his bloating the national debt, his scandals diverting effective governance, his appointment of incompetents, etc. are all bonus points for Putin.

    I wonder if hillary would be arrested if she ever stepped into Russia again for meddling in there election?

    American Democrats want Internet censorship like the Chinese Democrats have in China. They plan to use election interference (Facebook ads Democrats don't like) as justification to impose Chinese Democrat style Internet on Americans. Forums like this will be hardest hit.

    Fox News, July 3, 2018: Russia meddled in the 2016 presidential election to help Donald Trump win were "accurate and on point," according to an unclassified report and accompanying statement by the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence released Tuesday.
