How about the government give it back to me now and stop taking it from me. So that i can make my own decisions..
Capitalism with social programs, which is different than capitalism + socialism. capitalism + socialism implies some form or the threat of natinalisation of land/industries, just like Nazi Germany did. They didn't nationalise as long as the industrials or land owner goals were in sync with the nazi party, but they literally had a gun pointed at their heads.
sorry, I thought you were old enough to be receiving SS . Sometimes in old age decisions are made for us like having costly illnesses, children and grandchildren who need help, and reduced income......and rather than go on Welfare a SS check helps. Not everyone is wealthy and living off their dividend checks.. Anyway, when you do retire send that "socialism" that you hate to me You: ""How about the government give it back to me now and stop taking it from me."" How about that isn't going to happen and in the real world you may appreciate the government saving it for you...
Capitalism is the only system since the dawn of man that can lift people out of poverty. Socialism only guarantees poverty, every time, and before someone talks about Sweden do your research it is a capitalist system. They flirted with socialism in the 1970's and quickly learned how destructive it was.
When i retire SS will have been long defunct and we'll have the proof of how stealing people's money and giving it to others is destructive and evil.
I struggled between the first two. I do see a benefit to a social safety net (a little socialism) but in the long run, it never ever seems to stay 'a little' and is a greater danger than a benefit. To put a finer point on it, the 'give me's ruin it for the 'help me's.
Hilarious! WHO stole WHOSE money and is giving it to others???? Throughout MY career the government took out money from my pay and now is paying it back to me ...I'm fine, I'm happy......I might have spent it on something I didn't really need but now I HAVE IT...
This is the fundamental error in thinking about socialism That the government “owns” you. For socialism to work well you have to reverse that thinking to “I own the government”
We already tried socialism in America, it didn't work out so well and was quickly abandoned... on this fine Thanksgiving eve.
No my definition of socialism is clear.. a political and economic theory of social organization which advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole.
I learned a new term that shuts them down, compassionate market based economy. This is the closest to what Sweden, Denmark, Germany and so on have and it is pretty much identical to what people mean when they say socialism or democratic socialism. Redhats are triggered by key words so you have to figure out how to wrap it in a pretty package for them not to flip out.
Nah once again this country was founded on socialism which was quickly abandoned, read a history book , please and thank you.
