I highly doubt you got more than a couple bucks a month unless you make well into six figures and live in a state with low property and income taxes.
The details are private but my federal income taxes dropped more than 50% 2017 to 2018, and considerably more by magnitudes than a couple of bucks a month. I don't have a six figure income and live in a state with no state income tax and high property taxes. Many glance at the bracketed tax rates to make their analysis but that misses the mark. Standard deductions went way up (albeit exemptions were eliminated), the way taxable social security is calculated greatly favored low gross incomes, and the child care credit -- mostly applicable to low to middle incomes -- went way up. That's how middle to low income people got tremendous tax breaks. Benefits all going to the rich is simply a false meme.
The Trump tax cut certainly had nothing to do with a 50% reduction in your Federal taxes. THAT more than likely netted you a couple hundred bucks spread over the whole year...like pretty much every other middle class tax payer (that didn't get a tax INCREASE like I did)
The Trump tax cut was the only thing that affected my decrease if federal income tax. But dream away.
I am talking gibberish? States have a lower cost of living because they are not spending $100,000 dollars a year on city clerks ..
I was referring to "federal spending" so yes you are talking gibberish by referring to city clerks. Red Establishment loves "Socialism" - wealth redistribution via taxation. This has to be paid for by taxes. Quit trying to deny and/or avoid this obvious truth.
1 - the claim that no Republican in Congress has Red has ever voted to uphold or create tax law is false 2 - Even if your claim was true - this would not change the fact that Red has voted to increase spending.
