No, he told a crass joke to his old lady and she came over running her mouth and threatened to call the law, told her to go ahead. They showed up and told her to stay on her side of the line.
My other buddy, he's a good boy. We almost lost him around the first of November. Near a 300$ vet bill later, our old man is doing fine.
Spike loves "his" cat. He will chew the fleas off. But any cat he was not raised with? It's murder, death kill. I have pried his jaws off a chickens ass after our friend insisted he be allowed to roam off leash, in her fenced yard. Not a fan of folks allowing their dogs to roam, at large.
I know several single males who have cats. They are good companions for single men because they have a certain degree of independence, more so than dogs, and are easy to care for.
We live behind a 6 ft fence and I still leash him (he is an escape artist) on a 15 ft runner cable and pulley and a 60 ft main run.
I know someone whose cat actually killed a dog. The dog came running onto his property to attack the cat but the cat got the upper hand and sunk his teeth into the dog's throat.
It was a Jack Russell. Wiry little dog but he met his match. EDIT: I should add that he is a big and very muscular cat. Not as big as my cat who weighs 22lbs/10kg but big and strong.
Help run a cat rescue and about done with it. Used to just handle a few at a time but once you get a reputation you get cats dumped on you. Too small to handle a lot of cats.
I grew up with a beautiful sweet kitty. On my own....I've had no good experiences. One used to attack my son....in his sleep. Another used to attack adults out of the blue.. So we stick with dogs now. I've had a "crazy" dog that we had to keep on a short leash to keep the neighborhood intimidation free but at least she loved her family...
Thank you! My 2nd feral started out as "Kit-a-Kit", then "Kit Kit", then "Miss Fit"...then "Misfit" by the time I took her to the vet and they asked for her name.
We aren't. Six conservatives, that I know of, were banned from the site for posting conservative or pro-Trump opinions on the political thread there. Others get frequent private messages and warnings and simply stopped posting on the political off-topic thread there. So it "appears" that the majority are liberal since they are allowed free speech without fear.
Thank you for the welcome! My cats are all liberals. They expect free food and housing, and I'm the government provider of those entitlements.
I don't think anyone knows the answer to that. There are more "registered" Democrats than Republicans. You could also figure in that the majority of the Democrat Party are women and the majority of the Republican Party are men. If each party has an equal ratio of cat owners, then more Democrats own cats, and more Democrat women would own cats than Republican women. No studies exist, as far as I know, about partisanship of cat owners....so it's all supposition and hypothesis.
My Corgi is the same way. He protects my three cats that are part of the family, but sadly, any strange "trespassing" cats in the backyard are unwelcome interlopers. Fortunately, most are fast enough to get over the fence or up a tree.
Once people know you own a cat or two, there are always people who know people who know people whose cat just had a litter of kittens. "Hey, I know you like cats. I know someone trying to find a home for them. Do you want another one or two?" Um, no.....three is my limit for food and vet bills expenses!!! I can imagine how many cats must get dumped off at a cat rescue without notice! My vets' office has a cat colony outside and some indoor "office cats" running around inside because of people just leaving cats in cardboard boxes at their office door overnight. They find homes for the one's they can.
