1. Rome never managed to conquer Germany. They tried, got crushed, build a wall to keep Germans out but ended up being destroyed by us.

2. Napoleon never managed to conquer Germany. He got hold over parts of Prussia but lost control later on, what sealed his fate. In the battle at Waterloo he was winning until german army under general Blücher felt into his back and finished him off.
