    Great, then you understand that no class of bearable arms can be banned. This includes "assault weapons" like the AR-15.

    After that shooting in texas where 24 parishioners were killed I think many churches took action and allowed conceal carry. I talked to few people from some oklahoma baptist churches that have conceal carry during services. Have no idea about mine....

    I am a devout[sic] athiest.

    You and I (and some others) might have some sense of proper behavior, even without a belief in a God.

    Clearly, there are those who don't have a willingness to behave in ways conducive to a functionally fair society.

    These people do not fear the law, government, nor the remonstrations of polite society.

    A deeply instilled fear of a God might be the only thing that would have them behave in a civilized manner.

    He's just sore because a good guy with a gun stopped a massacre greatly reducing the number of dead bodies the GCA's can stand upon to push their evil narrative further down the throats of the law abiding.

    The GCA's celebrate and cheer death by guns, and when the carnage is stopped with a single shot, before they can use them to promote their cause, they get pissed off.

    And yet such happened regardless. So long as firearms exist, they will always be accessible to those who should not have them. There are no exceptions to this fact, it is the way reality works.

    How would such an outcome have been achieved in real world terms? What could have prevented such from occurring? One cannot prevent crime from being committed before it happens.

    I think you misunderstood my post. I was pointing out that what they are seeking to ban "assault type weapons" most common they are targeting being the AR, is protected by the second amendment, according to Heller.

    I saw at least 6 people with guns before and after the shooting. The 2nd victim never drew a gun, but he was also on the security team. The first victim, the head of security who killed the BG, and at least 3 others who approached the shooter with guns drawn after the fact from all over the room. They were obviously well rehearsed and trained. They stationed security people all around him and the head of security was ready as a backup. The light and sound guys trained a camera on him to try to identify any threats before they were critical.

    The 2 victims made mistakes. They are still heroes, but their mistakes cost them their lives. The first victim couldn't get his gun out of his holster and he squared off with the guy before he was ready. Drawing before he presented himself or having a more accessible holster could have saved his life. The second victim took his eyes off of the guy, giving him time to draw his shotgun while obstructing the ability of the head of security to get a shot off quicker. Had he been looking, he could have stepped forward and wrestled for control of the shotgun until help arrived.

    This may have been already answered but as we now know the dead perp was a convicted felon, so his having a gun was illegal. Not only that but he had a previous arrest for illegal possession of a gun. The legal system failed.
