What is wrong with "slut shaming"?

It IS bizarre to hear people saying, "if only people quit having sex in what I consider an inappropriate way " as if that has ever happened, or will happen, in the history of humans...

 

I suppose that your "unwillingness to attack" and my tolerance, under certain circumstances, can produce indistinguishable results.

I guess my attitude can also be called tolerance.

 

There is an indispensable distinction between being tolerant and being indiscriminant. Tolerance requires good judgment.
Being indiscriminant is characterized by the lack of judgment. No one can be more tolerant than they are judgmental.

It is my experience that those who claim that they don't judge are those most likely to condemn whatever they don't condone. Simply not employing judgment at all is the closest that they can get to tolerance of something that, if they did judge, would be bound to either condone or condemn.

 

In a world of greed and murder, the last thing we should do is assign shame to acts of pleasure and love. It is not wrong for 2 consenting adults to engage in sexual pleasure regardless of what you have been indoctrinated into believing.

Teaching people that sex outside of marriage is wrong, is wrong. It actually has the opposite effect. When I was in high school, the girls from the Catholic school were the easiest.

God would not have created humans with our strong drive if he didn't mean for us to enjoy the gift.

 

Your example employs good judgment. However, you do not example something that you neither condemn or condone. Of course, I am assuming that you condone someone not being hostile to begin with. In my opinion, your example does not require tolerance.

 

Are you advancing the idea women are minimizing the problem and the involvement of women in the problem? In my experience in public education, women are the advocates for stopping child abuse.

Why aren't we also talking about abusive dads, abusive caregivers including teachers, and so on?

Every abuser has an excuse. Women do commit 70% of child abuse and child murder.
