Automatic taxation amendment

Section 1- The federal and state government shall be required to take the appropriate amount of taxes from each person's accounts or checks and no person shall be required to file taxes when the governments of the United States and the Several States already know the specific amount owed in taxes.

Section 2- The Federal and State government will have one year to implement automatic taxation after the ratification of this amendment.


Every other country that has access to the internet does automatic taxation. It also prevents tax cheating.

 

Automatic theft for a ‘voluntary’ system?

 

Taxes are not voluntary. Unless you actually like doing the math, and trying to figureout what number the government already knows?

Yes they are. You will not find any law that says you must pay taxes. In the 40’s govt used Disney and patriotism to urge people to pay. Even Harry Reid said they are voluntary in an interview.

which the government already knows. They literally know everything you put on the tax form.

 

No they don’t. Also some people cannot pay so work out payment schedules.

It can be as simple as this, Set up a website and use the SSN as the passcode, have all persons submit proof of which deductions they get, then it calculates how much money you owe and that is auto taken out.

We must stop excusing laziness from government.

Not a bad idea on the surface. Remove all deductions, lower the tax rate to compensate.

Also, the "underground" economy needs to pay its share. Not sure how to fix that.

2. It could simply add an option, to take a tax bracket drop instead of deductions.

 

What if it was optional, you could opt in to auto taxation?

Edit- this is why other countries laugh at us. We can't get the simplest thing to make our lives better passed because "Government is bad" 95%+ of brits are not touching a tax form this year.

This whole farce about filing your taxes is a joke. As you can tell, there are enough rubes who've been programmed with all sorts of hair brained ideas to keep the status quo.
