Trump chose to side with us and against the unelected bureaucrats, academics and media pundits who have been selling us out and selling us off for decades. There were no anti-Trump people until Trump started supporting us. The biggest difference between Trump and the not-Trump candidate he'll face in November is that he doesn't need to win. He doesn't need to win to get wealthy; he's already wealthy. He doesn't need to win to save himself from legal jeopardy. He's the most investigated and vetted person in human history. He's doing this 100% for us, and he gets nothing in return but grief, and perhaps the satisfaction of knowing that he saved the greatest political experiment in human history. This isn't "Trump's economy". President Trump did not save our economy; we did that. All President Trump did was to remove the "boot of government" from "the neck of business". President Trump did not make America great again; we did that. President Trump has stood between us and those who have had the "boot of government on the neck of business". He has stood between us and those who think that America was never great. They are not trying to impeach President Trump; they are trying to impeach our choice for president. None of this is about Donald Trump; it's all about those he supports. I will vote for President Trump in November because he supports us.
This is where we are totally 180 from each other in our evaluation of trump. He's making a killing off of you me and every other American. He's doing nothing for us and everything he can for himself. He got caught once with his hand in the cookie jar. How many times didn't he get caught (yet)?
Trump doesn't need to con people, but he still does it, Trump university, his charities, the list goes on and on why would a billionaire do these things? Trump puts the Con in Conservative...
I’ve had wage increases of 14% and my 401k has increased triple figures since Trump was elected. I must be missing something here. Please educate me
Why on earth would a multi-billionaire work this hard for more of the almighty dollar? That doesn't even make sense much less have a shred of evidence to support it. So far, there hasn't been a single legitimate complaint about Donald Trump from the haters... like you.
And the boot of government is.....CLEAN AIR STANDARDS, CLEAN SAFE DRINKING WATER STANDARDS,NO LOOTING OR POLLUTING OF OUR NATIONAL PARKS&FEDERAL LANDS.
Same old, same old fairies, unicorns, and the deep state. Rinse and repeat. Do you know Tinker Bell? I’d like to meet her.
I'm sure the people who fell for Trump University or for Trump's Atlantic City promises believe the same when they were duped.
That doesn't work in the adult world. You argue like a five year old. It does work. It doesn't persuade anyone. You're losing, bigly.
As a very strong Trump supporter, I do have to disagree with one point- he is fairly narcistic and ego driven (I wouldn't say to the point of mania, but I wouldn't dispute it very hard either...), and he's made the US his 'brand.' It has his name across it in big flashy letters now just as much as his hotels and casinos do, from his perspective. He gets a great deal out of this- egotistical and narcissistic validation. Which is good! That makes his ego and narcissism work for us. He wants to Make America Great, at least in part because the country is part of his legacy now. I do believe he only ever sought to make it part of his legacy out of a genuine desire to see all Americans prosper, but it was this ego and narcissism that made him believe only Trump could do it. Folks think egotism and narcissism are bad because they havn't experienced it in a President. Until Trump, we've just had megalomaniacs and/or charlatans trying to masquerade as humble servants for decades. Humble servants do not seek power. Trump is the best sort of power seeker we could hope to run for office- one who gets a kick out of prospering with others as opposed to prospering off them.
Sure Trump's ego driven but if he wasn't he wouldn't be able to achieve what he is continually achieving and no matter what his foibles are (and he does have several) it is obvious that he does genuinely care for Americans and America. The clown show, and those who went before them, are only in it for themselves and although they may not be open and honest about how they feel and how they want to fundamentally change the US they are still ego driven and that makes them sly and dishonest.
In 1996 I was a smart ass 16 year old, and I had a car you see. A 1974 Volkswagen beetle. (Not a superbeetle). A girl in my classes loved beetles, and she was from Korea. Her name was Gia. Gia also loved guitar, which I played. Her favorite song was Landslide by Fleetwood Mac, but she liked the Smashing Pumpkins version more. I had only heard the smashing pumpkins version. She knew the basic chords, but needed help with song structure and vocals. I told her to bring her guitar. We sat on the back bumper of my 74 beetle and hashed it out over the period of a few weeks. When she'd get stuck I'd sing loudly the vocals. She learned it quickly. She'd tell me how things were in Korea and in the mid 90's I had no idea but also no reason to not believe her. She was a fast learner and now a pediatric physician. It was only a few months ago that Trump crossed into North Korea, and I thought of her (and the song) when it happened.
So? So what? Is his personality that distracting? Is what you believe is going on in his head intolerable? Would you trade what only he has been able to accomplish to deny him those self-satisfactions. I don't infer from President Trump what you infer. I believe that his public "ego" is a shtick. It's a means to an end. I'm a contractor. Let me give you a tip about hiring a contractor. Be sure to hire men who put their names all over their work. Be sure to hire men who put their sign in the yard while the work is being done and for some good time afterwards. Need I explain further? What's more, identity is an integral part of faith. Let me explain. Faith is a complex thing in that it involves the entire person: intellect, emotion and will. To the extent that one intellectually understands a thing, emotionally trusts a thing and willingly identifies with that thing, that one has faith in that thing. What I infer from President Trump's shtick is a tremendous faith in the American people. Maybe the most faith ever, he might say.
Well then, his "fragile ego" is working for me too! How about that? I don't want to return to the days when our President and his top officials sold us out and sold us off to other countries just to deny Donald Trump the self-satisfaction of being the one who didn't do that. I don't want to give up any of the real world peace and prosperity that I am enjoying to deny President Trump the self-satisfaction of knowing his role in it. Accomplishment is so foreign to some people that they can't distinguish it from ego.
