When people are in a dark place the dark can consume them. You have to hope they get past it.

 

Learn to appreciate the beauty of the "ignore" button. It is a feature that I heavily employ.

 

I never held judgment for his adult vacations....and I enjoyed listening to him in my younger years

but when he was found to be eating oxycontin like skittles and arrested on drug charges

I stopped listening to him after his arrest

I realized a was listening to a guy wacked of his mind on drugs so I changed the channel

maybe he recovered from addiction.. maybe he did not

Obviously you have no idea'r as to what in the hell you are talking
about.Alex Jones is worlds apart from a Rush Limbaugh.Rush has never
even mentioned Alex Jones.Jones has never guest-hosted.Why would he.
He is totally involved in his own self-made Radio Identity.
Alex Jones did a few { very few } times laud Limbaugh,but only
in context to supporting AM Radio against those who run broadcast
Boycotts.Which means those who Advertise on that medium.
A classic example of someone who would NEVER be allowed anywhere within
a country mile of the famous Golden EIB microphone is Michael
Savage.Who with regularity name calls Limbaugh and Limbaugh's
friend Mark Levin.Savage is a petty,mean,persistent boil on Talk Radio.
He has no guests because virtually any and all in Talk Radio can't
stand his guts.I gave up on Savage years ago.I have a couple threads
describing the Fraud.He's NO Conservative.Has never been to CPAC.
He's also a huge copycat.Savage basically has an audience like Howard
Stern has an audience.Nasty,gnarly New Yorkers and those from New Jersey.

 

The treatment will be rough. I knew someone with throat cancer. He felt perfectly fine until the treatment....and that almost killed him. Very frustrating for the family to see the treatment the reason for his sickness.

I don't even really listen to talk radio and I've only developed an interest in politics in the last several years, but even I know who Rush is, and the few times I have listened to him he seemed like a very smart, right on target, no nonsense kind of a guy.

Amen. Clicking the "show ignored posts" button on this thread was a harsh reminder of the dark ignorant side of this board.

 

As much of a patriot as a draft dodger can possibly be. On the other hand it is possible he had anal cysts and they went to his brain as evidenced by his drug addictions and obviously idiotic public statements.

 

Boy is that the truth. I did the same just to reinforce my previous decisions and I sent a note of thanks to the moderators for including this feature.

I am neither a Liberal nor a Conservative. Sometimes I have expressed similar wishes for some very bad people. But then -- it only hurt my Karma.

 

I'm praying for Rush's recovery, but at almost 70 his days on radio were probably numbered. There are lots of other quality RW radio hosts out there today.

Excellent, Rush is certainly one of the most influential men in the history of broadcasting, and has been doing it for about a third of the time radio has been around.

 

Considering that Trump is President, I would say that Trump has every right to give Rush the Honor.

 

Oh, I thought Rush didn't serve in Vietnam when he got drafted. I mean, a real patriot would have served when his number came up, right?

This was Rush's medical condition that prevented him from serving:

I DON'T agree with his Politics, but I can't deny he is a Broadcasting Legend.

I have always done construction and have listened to Rush from day one. He is more spot on than any Conservative I have known. He is a man of faith and courage and that will get him through no matter how it turns out. Without Rush, I think we would have had a Conrad Sanders in the executive over a decade ago. He has bought for Amreica several more decades of freedom. I just pray there are many he has mentored to step up!
