The release of a highly anticipated poll from CNN and the Des Moines Register on the Democratic primary race in Iowa, which hosts the premier contest of the election season, was abruptly canceled at the last minute over concerns from one of the survey's respondents.

The poll, the last in Iowa before Monday's caucuses, was slated to be broadcast live on CNN Saturday night, but at the top of the 9 o'clock hour, CNN Political Director David Chalian announced: "It was brought to CNN's attention earlier this evening someone questioned for the survey raised an issue the way their interview was conducted. That means the results of the poll would have been compromised."

The Iowa caucus is tommorow, and the final poll prior to it is not being released.

The reason cited is that Mayor Pete isn't mentioned in a few of the poll-but I think there is more to it.

Sanders has rapidly risen to the top in several recent polls and I think the DNC/MSM (same entity) don't want that polling result to be seen.

There is nothing democratic about the democrat party-a handful of people pick the candidate.

Obviously, Bernie is in a lead, so why piss everyone ahead of time?

If the DNC liked the poll they would release it.

They hate each other. Both a rivals for being seen as feminist leaders and Clinton is a moderate conservative capitalist while AOC is an avowed socialist. Then you have the generation gap (Boomer vs. Millennial). Temperament, ambition and ideology divide them.

Clinton and Tulisi in 2032 (you know, an election year) would be more plausible.

Most models that I have seen have all of the Top 4 getting at least some delegates.

Apparently, there are 4 different sets of "results".

Anyway, nothing is really going to happen that is going to be REALLY Consequential (in terms of Delegate Math) until SC and Super Tuesday.

Why did a woman with no power but lots of ambition stay with a wealthy governor/president with a kingmaking role in the Democratic Party? Do you really need to ask that?

Why would Clinton team up with a woman that overshadows her, is significantly younger and wants to see everyone like her stripped of their oversized wealth and power?

    It's apples and land mines.

    Great.:bored:

    That is Fake BS.

What does THAT have to do with Iowa Caucus Polling?

If you insist on posting Lame Memes, at least try to stay ON-topic.

    Thanks in advance.

Anyway, back to the Actual Topic and the DMR Poll, I don't really see much "separation" coming out of Iowa (in any event).

    Carry on.:salute:

Finally, it took long enough, but liberals are admitting their manufactured nonsense polls can't be trusted for publication...

    Looks like I was right...

Scrapped Iowa Poll Reportedly Showed Biden Cratering to Fourth Place

The last Iowa poll before the caucuses, which was not publicly released after its results were “compromised,” found that Bernie Sanders was holding steady in the lead and that Joe Biden had fallen to a distant fourth place. According to confirmation by FiveThirtyEight, the poll was going to report Sanders with 22% support in Iowa, Elizabeth Warren in second with 18%, Pete Buttigieg with 16%, and Biden trailing behind at 13%. That result would’ve pegged Biden’s support at more than six percentage points below his current level in the RealClearPolitics polling average.

However, the gold-standard Selzer & Co. Iowa poll was abruptly scrapped on Sunday night after one surveyor reportedly changed the font on their screen and inadvertently left off Pete Buttigieg’s name from the list of candidate choices. Since the pollster was unable to assess the impact of Buttigieg’s partial omission, the poll was considered statistically unreliable.

I was watching Bloomberg this morning discussing the caucus (not sure how appropriate that is with their boss a candidate) and 2 of the 3 pundits were trying so hard to write off Sanders. I was mildly surprised when the 3rd pundit shut down the dismissive socialist talk by pointing out that there are actual socialist voters.

The Cold War is long done, Boomers and Gen X need to realize the political dynamics in this country is no longer conservative vs. liberal.

It's 10:18 pm CST. No Iowa Caucus results from any counties have yet reported. They don't have any information but suspect some new computer app to be the problem.

CNN and MSNBC are going crazy and talking conspiracy. Must be Russian hackers. Where's Bernie? Klobuchar is speaking but I don't think she won or even came in close.

What is the Over/Under on how many threads will be started by the RW (by this time tomorrow) referencing "Dems Disaster/What happened on Iowa"?

Less that 10 or More that 10?

Will it be a tribute to redundancy?

Hopefully they make at least some (even a cursory attempt) to check for dupe threads.

    The watch continues.:salute:

Credit to NBC, replaying Warren's speech instead of just following Biden and ignoring her.

The Dems cheat even among themselves. Bernie got too much support. The DNC is finding more dead people to vote for Warren.

Everyone except Bern has taken a victory lap so far with Zero votes tallied. They screwed up but say it isn't a computer error.
