It's all either nefarious or pure incompetence, neither is a great look. I personally find it weird that we've been at 62% for hours now

At least the Democrats stood up for Charles McGee. I had the honor of meeting him and getting his autograph on a red tail model p51. Even joked with him that I was more of a P38 fan myself because of family history. Such a nice man and an extraordinary American.

 

It is easier to believe it is nefarious. Look at all the people tied in with this shadow company. I think they were cheating and someone caught them so they had to back track and call it an error.

 

"Bitter ladies in white," ey. So people celebrating the grant of franchise to women (who wear white as a symbol to mark that) are bitter. You 'predict.' Read the tea leaves, did you?

 

They look like fools and when they chanted they looked like the kkk Democrats of the past.

 

I agree, also Bernie had 48% of the vote in '16 vs Hilary's 49%. I had a hard time believing a mayor with little name recognition (compared to Hilary) does better than Hilary

The aren't just sitting on their hands. They have their thumbs up their rears. The extreme hate they have makes them crap involuntarily when Trump speaks the truth.

I thought an elected official was the one to make improvements to their district not a businessman.

 

Buttjug hired this same company run by ex-Hillary staffers. He had all the numbers in advance? WTF, Is that fair? It seems like the same as insider trading to me, which is not.

 

Whoever wrote Trump's "State of the Union" speech, did a good job. It tried to be more inclusive than the typical Trump speech, attempted to make inroads among some of the Democratic base, and tried to be inspirational and not merely vindictive. If Trump can keep himself, and his base, from moving into their typical self and their actual worldview, this message (and a relatively strong economy) can unfortunately see Trump win the next election.

The true world, however, and what Trump has represented within that world, isn't about the photo-ops or nice rhetoric in this speech, nor about the lies and propaganda which try to paint the world in colors which only those separated from it can follow. The real "State of the Union" in America has at no time since the civil war been as much about a state of disunion as it is now. And this belated effort by Trump to paper over the real divisions which he has sowed, no more represents a sincere effort on his part to build towards an inclusive vision of America than his rhetoric about the door being open for Iran to choose a hopeful path, represents what Iran can find from any negotiations with Trump. The same way Trump cannot build on an inclusive vision of America, after all he has done to deny many Americans of different backgrounds a claim to its heritage, he cannot possibly expect for any overtures to Iran to be taken seriously after he assassinated Iran's most popular general.

Words may fool some to join the already converted to march on the path of the cult that supports Trump, but the same actions which have brought disunity within America, and ridicule and contempt for America abroad, will ultimately speak louder than any words.

 

Loved the chanting, "four more years, four more years".

 

The most likely reason the dem congress women wore white is because wearing white celebrates a century since the Women's Suffrage Movement and the passing of the 19th Amendment, which gave women the right to vote. The celebration is particularly timely, as the 2018 midterms saw 42 women elected as new members of Congress to make it its most diverse group yet.

It also is symbolic garb of the Ku-Klux-Klan. The Socialists and Squad like their presence in Congress to be known. It is just another one of their stupid clown stunts even though a bunch of them are so un-American they didn't bother showing up.
