Atheists always humor me. They base their whole world view on a materialistic outlook, and then proudly proclaim (as if it were a fact!) that mysticism and spirituality is non-existent. It’s like wearing a pair of red-shaded sunglasses and arriving at the conclusion that other colors like green and blue do not exist.
yeh and now they want to hijack spirituality, historically attributed to religious attributes, deities, and the supernatural and pretend atheists can be spiritual and still remain atheists
I am always amused by theists who PRETEND to know all about Atheists when the content of their posts proves otherwise.
There isnt much to know about an empty box, its empty! I dont know about Goomba but I for one disagree, the content of their posts demonstrate research and education, while the content of the posts from atheists typically show wildly crazy baseless illiterate claims. Just like the brain studies ou posted to pretend science understands spirituality when all they have done is shown is that believers have significantly more parts of the brain that turns on than neoatheists.
You’d have a point if you could prove mysticism and spirituality actually exist. Since you can’t, you don’t.
No, because everything is essentially a reflection of yourself. Whatever action I perform, you will always perceive it from a materialistic perspective. Of course, it all hinges upon your own personal willingness to suppress the truth.
Again, you’d have a point if you can prove anything exists outside the material world. Since you can’t, you have no valid argument and your claims remain baseless nonsense.
I already answered this. If you only want to believe in material forces, your life is going to be a reflection of this mode of thinking. It’s got nothing to do with me.
Your thoughts ultimately define your reality, so it’s all in your own head. Again, I have nothing to do with it. I’m just a reflection of yourself, silly.
thoughts have no effect on reality. Reality is what it is regardless of what you think of it. I accept your concession that you can not support your claim.
Exactly, ergo all that there ultimately is, is The Reality (or The God). However, the universe is always changing. It doesn’t remain as it always was. Thoughts are energy, which vibrate at different frequencies, that which bind with the rest of the universe, as the universe is always in motion and vibrating at different frequencies. And energy attracts like energy, which is why thoughts affect our relative reality (but never the Absolute Reality). And I accept your unfounded assumption.
You can’t substantiate any of that. What was unfounded? You can’t demonstrate anything exists outside the material. That is a fact, not an assumption.
Personally I am an atheist who routinely goes to a very traditional Catholic Church with incense and the priest with his back to the congregation most of the time and a the tradition of kneeling to take holy communion because it is spiritually . . . comforting. Oh, and I pray and I tithe; but I remain an atheist.
You are so lazy. Pick exactly what you want me to substantiate. Irrelevant, your perception is not my own.
Everything you posted. It’s not perception. It’s reality. You can’t show anything exists outside the material.
get serious! Math because numbers are not real entities. They are purely imaginary concepts. We cannot physically or materially experience numbers. We can make up stories about them, (constructs and models) such as “1+1=2”, but we can never experience such an operation since there is no such thing as ONE of anything in our experience. Please hand me the number "1"
Of course they are real. No they aren’t. We do all day every day. Demonstrably false. Take 1 red apple and place it on the table. Take another red apple and place it next to the first. You have now experienced 1+1=2
false you are not experiencing the number, if you could experience a number you could hand to me the number '1' rather than associate it to some material object and then hand that material object to me. You are not handing me the number 1, you are handing me some single material object that your imaginary number 1 is being used to represent. Math is purely imaginary. Theists use a similar higher order system to represent the existence of their God. What you see and reject from them is the material associations, but you accept it for math. Why is that?
false, you did not hand me the number '1' as I requested, you handed an apple. Very simply an apple is not the number 1. You do not tap apple + apple = 2 on your calculator.
heads up theists according to the logic of rahl, rahls logic when applied to the existence of G/god, you all have proven that your God(s) exist
