Nobody can take that seriously. All of the economic gains are only a result of Trump not yet screwing up the economy Obama left. And the rest or trivial or actually detrimental to America.
That is because of course, despite his claiming to be a Democratic Socialist, he meets none of the actual policy requirements.
Wow! You were sounding real rational for a few posts there and then BOOM... TDS kicked in! Gonna be OK when Trump is reelected? Bless y'alls hearts... I'm worried about you.
I don't call Russia communist. You do? Do you still refer to it as the USSR? We've enacted sanctions, we've expelled diplomats, we've closed one of their consulates, we've sold arms to the Ukraine, we've killed hundreds of Russian mercs in Syria, and we've withdrawn from the INF treaty due to Russian cheating. Meanwhile Obama unilaterally withdrew our ABM system from Eastern Europe upon taking office. A mindboggling decision that I've never gotten a good answer for.
Russiagate was a kangaroo clown show. The sin's on the Dem side were far greater than anything Trump or his associates did. Dershowitz maintained a consistent position on both White Water and Russiagate and I agree this his position. How is the number of inches of cigar that "Slick Willy" inserted into Monica's oval orifice relevant to Whitewater ? Answer - ZERO Then why was the Prosecutor allowed to ask such questions - as this would never be allowed in normal court proceedings. Do we no longer have respect for the rule of law principle "equal justice" ? The same can be said with Manifort and various of the other of Trump's associates. What did tax fraud 10 years ago have to do with Trump aiding the Russians to hack the DNC or with the FB ads ? Zero. Then you have the fact that Mueller - "Touted by the Media as this man of the highest integrity and honor" - has a long history and proven track record of lack of honor and integrity - flouting the rule of law and principles of justice. A special prosecutor is given special powers - to really fk with the lives of people. These powers are given "ONLY" on the basis of the specific crime being investigated - and this crime must meet a very high bar .. similar to the imposition of martial law. Adultery and Tax Fraud does not meet that bar - this is then illegitimate use of authority.
I never claimed Trump invented socialism or subsidies. I claimed he's doing socialist things and supporting socialist policies. Which he is: US farmers hurt by trade war getting $16 billion boost, US Agriculture Secretary says http://politicalforum.com/index.php?threads/trump-will-be-re-elected.568250/page-2#post-1071439838 He didn't invent corruption, but he's doing corrupt things, like defraud people with a phony university and get fined for mismanaging a charity for veterans (Jesus, you can't make this up. Trump is about as evil as Mr. Burns at this point). You can't complain about socialism, while you're increasing socialist spending. Well, you can, but what kind of idiot would fall for it?
So you are arguing that I can't complain about socialism because Congress has been writing farm bills since the great depression, and it's Trump's fault?
I'm saying you can't call out Bernie's proposed socialism while NOT calling out Trump's actual socialism: bailing out farmers hurt by his trade war. They're both socialists. It's just a matter of priorities. I'm sure Bernie would throw a bunch of govt. money at farmers too.
Thank you for establishing that you are merely regurgitating DEBUNKED extremist rightwing DISINFORMATION.
I uphold your right to your biased OPINION but that is ALL that it is. Nothing of SUBSTANCE that withstands even cursory scrutiny has been provided to date.
I don't care what you uphold. I am right and you are wrong. And by the way, why are you following me in this forum? Do you have some weird issue I need to alert someone about?
Eight Reasons Why Trump Will Be Reelected The voters will disregard impeachment and vote for continued prosperity https://spectator.org/eight-reasons-why-trump-will-be-reelected/
You are STILL entitled to your biased opinion. It is ONLY the content of your posts that I am interested in which is why the follow feature exists in this forum. There are at least 50 other members whose posts I follow so doing this is nothing "special".
So to be clear, you don't think there is any difference between Bernie type socialism, like national rent control, and the New Deal? Interesting.
Economy for the win. Fret and fuss all you want liberals it will not change the fact that the all important moderate vote will be based on the economy. Not who and why it’s good, just that’s it’s good. In the election booth the sitting POTUS gets the credit in a good economy and the blame in a bad one. Y’all ain’t winning this one.
I have bothered to examine and report on all 3 of the models from your point #3. Do you still believe that all three models make a strong case for Trump being reelected in 2020?
Trump loses to Sanders by 3 and 4, in the polls that just came out. I scrolled through two pages of polls, trying to find one where Trump beats Bernie. I didn't see one. If there is one, it's from awhile ago. That seems odd, given "Trump will be "re-elected". You'd think he would be crushing it right now, not losing to Bernie (and Biden by 6 and 8 ). https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/latest_polls/
Possibly a topic for another thread but, here are my thoughts. I didn't really pay much attention to the Russia investigation as it was unfolding since I didn't feel its outcome would really matter to me. If Trump sought dirt on Hillary from a foreign entity vs a national one, it's not something I feel is disqualifying from holding office. It sounded like the D's really were expecting something big out of it, but were let down. Given that the report went out of its way to ensure that it did not make an indictment in the case of obstruction, found no conspiracy, and Mueller's clear reluctance to get involved in the politics of the matter, I cannot find any real merit to claims of him personally being biased. The contents of the report stick to any relevant connections with Russia, Russian interference (with our without the campaign's knowledge), and any issues they ran into pursuing the investigation itself. This does not appear to be something that really went off the rails as the Whitewater one. I do not recall a chapter concerning Trump's taxes - that seems to be some separate thing D's have been hung up on since Trump never released his. Manafort specifically was caught while investigating ties to Russia as he had been lobbying for Viktor Yanukovych. This seems only a natural extension of the investigation given Manafort's ties to the campaign and Yanukovych's ties to Russia. At any rate - none of that stuff in the first half that covers ties to Russia made me overly concerned (other than how the hell do we prevent Russia from doing that crap again in 2020). It was really the 2nd half that detailed obstruction into the investigation itself. There was stuff I was already aware of - though not in as much detail. Trump's demands for personal loyalty from Comey, which led to his firing when he refused. His demands for Jeff Sessions to unrecuse himself and take control of the investigation, which he mercifully refused - and was eventually fired for. Probably most disturbingly, was the case of Don McGahn where Trump demanded he fire the special prosecutor. McGahn refused too. Trump later requested McGahn create an official record to state that he had never been asked to fire the special prosecutor. McGahn refused this request as well. There was other stuff in the obstruction half, but nothing really as bad or as overt as the McGahn case. Frankly that sort of crap, combined with Trump's constant demands for personal loyalty, unrelenting attacks on the judiciary, on members of his own party that don't fall in line, on the media, on witnesses, and every other thing that might serve as a check to his power I find incredibly disturbing. I am no fan of the D's, but I am much less a fan of an unrestrained presidency.
