Again at the democrat convention they will have "super delegates". Yet they claim that their party is democratic!!!! Seem kinda strange to me. Any democrats here want to explain that to us???
Would it seem strange to you if I told you that Republicans also have delegates in their convention that serve the same purpose as super-delegates. They are not called that. "At least in name, superdelegates are not involved in the Republican Party nomination process. There are delegates to the Republican National Convention who are seated automatically, but they are limited to three per state, consisting of the state chairman and two district-level committee members." https://en.wikipedia.org/ However you may have a point if you choose to argue that that doesn't matter because they don't call themselves Democrats
Fifty years ago at the democrat convention, the powers that be would go into a secret smoke filled back room and then come out and tell us who the candidate would be. I guess now the super delegates serve that function.
No more than you have explained the same thing in the Republic party.... "At least in name, superdelegates are not involved in the Republican Party nomination process. There are delegates to the Republican National Convention who are seated automatically, but they are limited to three per state, consisting of the state chairman and two district-level committee members." https://en.wikipedia.org/
