So? If that is the case, and "Loyalty" is paramount... ...And, experience and competency don't matter... This seems like the Perfect Candidate for DNI:
17 agencies seems weird to me as well.. That's a fair point, but this administration isn't capable of reorganizing a 2 item spice rack...
The answer is being able to accept and process information and facts that differ from your narrow view of the world, and being able to split the difference when required...
I didn't say experience and competency don't matter. I said they matter less than loyalty when the more experienced and competent options are likely to work against you. Then again, it is true that even a fluffy dog would be better than the establishment stay-behind networks and sabateuring 'resistance' we've had trying to undermine the administration. At least a fluffy dog would simply be unproductive, as opposed to counterproductive and deliberately destructive.
Ironic coming from an individual without any intelligence himself. Doubly ironic coming from an individual who, if I recall correctly, had no intelligence experience when he got dropped on the senate intelligence committee for no apparent reason...
This story is getting more interesting... I was wondering why this lapdog was replacing previous lapdog Maguire... Now we might know.. this followed a briefing by Maguire saying the Russians are actively at it again in 2020. https://kvia.com/your-voice-your-vo...als-say-russia-trying-to-get-trump-reelected/ So now the DNI cannot brief the government with gathered knowledge now? Unreal...
This just in.... Sweaty Susie Collins is trying to pretend like she has a spine again, fooling absolutely nobody... SNIP Republican Senator Susan Collins, a senior member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, on Monday rejected President Trump’s pick to lead the intelligence community, saying Richard Grenell does not have the experience to serve as director of national intelligence. “I would have much preferred that the president nominate the acting director Maguire for the post,” Collins said, referring to the former director of national intelligence, Joseph Maguire. ENDSNIP https://www.yahoo.com/news/susan-collins-breaks-trump-director-001305754.html Maguire dared tempt the beast by doing his job... there is obviously no way he can KEEP his job after that. REAL easy to oppose Trump on this one, since this tool will NOT be coming up for a Senate vote.. Honey? You are so defeated in November....
It's the rubber stamping of warrants by the secret Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court that worries me. You know that elements of FISA and the Patriot Act are sunsetting without re-authorization next month. It's something that should expire and be reworked, but DC, the House included will quietly extend it. Where are our priorities?
You're obviously homophobic. I suppose you prefer more experienced hands like Brennan, Clapper, Comey, etc.
He seems to have far more experience in the international community then Obama's Tom Donilon...but not a peep back then from Warner....or any other dem...he actually has a very comparable resume to Anthony Lake that served as Clinton's first National Security Advisor. ...and a ton more experience then old Morning Joe's father in law Dr. Brzezinski.
Of course... despite what you've been taught (where ever), experience is very rarely a bad thing... I would even take experienced hands like Richard Burr or Joseph Maguire (lawbreaker that he is)...
He has a Master of Public Administration from Harvard. I am sure he can handle running an agency. He will have plenty of solid advisors around him.
You need to work on your reading comprehension. You can get back to me after you figure out what my post really said, if you'd like.
So Trump has been in office for 3 years. This is HIS Intelligence community Hell Grenell was in office less than a day and he came out claiming the original briefing that said Russia was meddling in this year elections again, was “mischaracterized” and “false”. FFS, you guys cannot be that oblivious
“Loyal to the country”...... Yeah, you go with that. This is about loayalty to Trump, nothing more, nothing less. He had to bring in someone with NO experience, because he was a loyalist, because he couldnt find anyone with experience who would be loyal to him first, country second.
