Re-read the OP, and how I phrase things....your assessment is in error, so your moot reiterations are not necessary. What I am "upset" about is the knee jerk misogyny and religious clap trap used to justify the status quo, regardless of whether the linked bill is plausible or not. I challenge such across the board. Again and again, I point out that folk seem okay with the status quo, then bark like seals about "welfare" and "social services" taking bites out of their taxes and then REALLY get bent at the suggestion that men be put on a similar hook regarding the subject. You and I really have no beef here.
I agree with your second sentence....which makes the OP proposal is forcing an examination of the status quo...you want to rule women's bodies, then the same should be done to men.
Sorry, but doctors throughout the world would school you different regarding your first sentence (i.e, brain function, development of organs, etc.). So the rest of your screed based on your substituting theology for biology is irrelevant. So you want dogma from the state to control women's bodies, but NOT to protect them from others making choices for them (or you). And then of course, you forget it's a CHOICE, not a mandate currently.
Looking back: Regardless of what the law says, you, male or female, created the situation and the offspring. You are responsible for it until it reaches maturity. That is the philosophical argument; that you are responsible for what you do and need to deal with it.
Where have you demonstrated responsibility ? It's the females body. She created it by having semen deposited in her vagina
He also created it by depositing the semen. There is no philosophical argument on your part to deny his shared responsibility, nor establish hers in contrast. The same reasoning for the responsibility of the resultant offspring rest equally upon them both, whether that is for or against responsibility.
My point is that we should unite against government abuse of power. No one should be forced to have a medical procedure, or be denied one of they choose. Those cheering for gun control, high taxes, healthcare need to realize that the power they support will eventually be used against them.
Not a theology. I am not a believer. I just don't go along with the feminist BS that an unborn child is not a living being. Why in this modern day would anyone need to get an abortion when there are so many ways to prevent pregnancy?
That's a dumb argument. A person isn't forced to get pregnant any more than someone is forced to drink and drive. Here's what abortion is really about: you'd like to be absolved from your horrible personal decisions.
Baring your philosophical argument that the baby is her body. No human has a responsibility to another's body.
Because, with the exception of the removal of testicles or overies, ALL methods of birth control have failed at one time or another, regardless of the frequency of such failure, even when multiple methods were used together. That is before we take into account rape, where the ability to apply any such non chemical or long term methods does not occur.
Then the mother has no responsibility to the baby's body once born. I also noticed that you deliberately deleted the second part of the post and failed to address it. No doubt because you can't counter it in a way that doesn't destroy your assertions.
The only one that has tried to connect anything to responsibility is you, asserting that the man has a responsibility to another's body.
The same reasoning for the responsibility of the resultant offspring rest equally upon them both, whether that is for or against responsibility.
Dont worry, Scientists are working on a male birth control pill. A Male Birth Control Pill Passed Safety Tests Soon the birthrate will drop to nearly zero. Then youll be super happy
You leave the implication that a woman has responsibility for something not in her body. It's either both or neither. It takes both to create that third body. If the man has no responsibility, then neither does the woman. If the woman does have responsibility, then so does the man. The problem you are having is trying to equate him having any responsibility while the offspring is in the womb. No claim of that has been made. So the argument that it is in her body is moot.
