Only socialism with: 1) single payer medical coverage, 2) free college, and 3) a 75% income tax rate can save us from climate change!

Why do you believe in AGW? Is it some deep understanding of all the calculations which went into it?

To pay for Bernie’s schemes, the income tax rate on ALL Americans would be a minimum of 55%. If we add climate change to that, we’ll be looking at a much higher rate.

There isn’t enough income to finance all of the left wing ideas.

Oh, you're obviously including state and local taxes while forgetting.....you no longer pay healthcare insurance PREMIUMS. Let’s see the break down.

Universal healthcare costs less. We can’t afford not to go away from for profits. EVERYONE else in the world pays less in taxes for healthcare then we do in premiums. Why are you so upset about paying less for healthcare ? All, while running up a trillion a year in deficits. You guys are comical. Do you favor eliminating MEDICARE ?

That’s not enough to cover what Bernie wants to do. He wants to emulate Scandinavia. But Denmark taxes income at all levels at 56% to pay for their welfare state. And Sweden has backed off of socialism.

We'll see because we are not going to lower atmospheric CO2.

Maybe you cannot read well enough to realize I’m denying nothing. I am refusing to conduct “all or nothing thinking”.

Either man’s activities have accelerated global warming to become an existential threat, or he hasn’t. It’s not rocket science. Either you trust the work done by consensus at every university and climate research facility in the world, or you don’t. Otherwise, it’s denial. People drive to work every day trusting that the exact same science used by the car and energy industry and 911 and medical science if there is an emergency to help them in time of need. It’s that same science that’s used by climate science. No different. None what so ever.

Quite the contrary. Deniers are all, into all or nothing thinking.

Oh, you mean Sweden no longer has universal healthcare ?
Wth is your definition of socialism ? Mine is, the gop going into deficit spending and bankruptcies.....that’s the conservative “ free stuff mentality.”

“Swedish colleges and universities are free. Yep. Totally free.”

Oh, changing the subject because being taxed at 75% IS NOT in anyway paying for healthcare ?

Why do deniers just make up stuff when it’s so easy to refute ?

Denmark has a generous safety net. To pay for it, every person pays 56% of their gross income to the federal government. Then there are local taxes, etc.

I want a nice safety net, but not if it means living on just 25% of my gross salary to cover my rent, food, car, insurance, utilities, etc.

Well, you’d better check your source. This is from Denmark.

the max you pay as of 2017 is 52% for all national and municipal taxes. it’s a progressive system. So, if you’re at the top end, you pay 52%

Denmark citizens are very favorable to their system. Forget your health insurance premiums.....they’re paid for by taxes

    Income tax calculator — Denmark

    Income tax rates in 2017
Denmark has a complex system of personal income tax that includes:

    • a labour market contribution of 8% of your entire income
    • a deduction before any tax is due: personal allowance of DKK 45 000 (under 18 DKK 33 800) for municipal taxes, health contributions of 2% and bottom-bracket tax of 10.08%
    • highest tax bracket of 15% on income above DKK 479 600
    • municipal tax – payable at flat rates, which vary depending on where you live (average municipal tax: 24.913%)
    • church tax: 0.69%
    • social security contributions.
In total, no person must pay more than 51.95% in national and municipal taxes combined.

btw, the 52% is a total tax bill including all services, both federal and domestic including all schooling through college.
The cost of healthcare alone, is a line item of 8%. Thats a heck of a lot cheaper then HC in the United States.

My source was Fareed Zakariah on CNN. He reported Danes pay 55.9% of their income to the guvmint, regardless of how much they earn. Upper and lower classes.

The mass balance does not work out though - so - even if your claim of CO2 mitigating nitrogen is true. (and you need to explain this claim) - I don't see the difference in CO2 as being enough to significantly alter the nitrogen increase.

Just a note - In the past I have made my living by trying to get bacterial to degrade hydrocarbon contaminants in soil and groundwater - bioremediation" - so I am familiar with what the math would look like.

That’s not correct. It’s total taxes and 52% is a max. It’s a progressive system.,
Btw, that’s for all services....it’s 8% for healthcare.

btw, since when are we Denmark. Use UK, Germany and France.
Also, everyone with universal has better health outcomes and LOWER COSTS PER PERSON. EVERYONE.

I mentioned Denmark because Bernie said he wants to model the U.S. after the Scandinavian countries.

There are other Scandinavian countries. If you want to use Denmark’s healthcare model, they charge a flat rate of 8%. So, 52% covers ALL TAXES, both feds and local, including the church tax if you belong. The people luv it. The other Scandinavian rates are in line America. Choose those. But it’s still 52% total and 33% fed......not higher.
