We have the means to sterilize that part of the world if it continues to pump out deadly diseases.

I wonder how many epidemics China is capable of spreading this year?

    We should start a pool...

You realize that any virus does not survive the cooking process, right?

This is just another fun example of how Climate Change is irrevocably changing life on earth. You know, that thing righties say is a hoax too.

Better quarantine their lapdogs in the LW MSM, too. No need to endanger the public any further.

So, if we cook infected people we won't catch it?

    That's comforting to know...

Oh, yeah, Climate Change....Another thing Lefties have told us to panic and destroy our economy about...

Yeah, I really don't think we have to pretend that China is to blame for these diseases unless they are making them.

So global warming is to blame for a virus that thrives in cold weather? Were you trying to make righties look bad with that statement?

Hey, you've got some time on your hands now. How about learning something other than relishing the sound of that voice in your head?

Coronavirus Response Shows the World May Not Be Ready for Climate-Induced Pandemics

Zoonotic diseases already comprise roughly 70 percent of all human infections, but experts fear the climate crisis will accelerate their transmission by changing the boundaries and characteristics of existing animal habitats. Weather pattern changes and global warming are predicted to cause many wildlife species to migrate poleward(away from the equator) and toward higher altitudes, potentially putting animals in contact with new diseases to which they haven’t evolved resistance. In addition, as animals experience increased stress from these migratory changes, their immune systems may become weakened, thereby increasing both the risk of infection and amount of viral replication once infected. Decreased species diversity, an inevitable consequence of pollution and deforestation, has also been associated with more zoonotic infections within host animal populations. In summary, the climate crisis will lower host animals’ immune responses to zoonotic diseases, increase the rate of zoonotic infection by crippling biodiversity, and push animals into new migration routes that will bring them into greater contact with humans — all ultimately increasing the frequency and associated risks of infectious disease outbreaks.

Cheap insults only reveal that I got inside your head. Your claim that reps call climate change a hoax is false. The argument is over the degree humans effect climate change. Neither party cares about pollution.

Your attempt to link climate change with the Corona Virus is nothing more than a guess. You may have a point when it comes to pollution. It certainly doesn't put you in a position to insult opposing views.

By "reps" do you mean Republicans? Because Republicans have been denying AGW all this time, and that includes its ancillary affects.

So to claim this pandemic is not part of those ancillary effects is devoid of the scientific facts. I provided the link to elucidate the issue to you.

Apparently you want to remain ignorant. So carry on.

This thread sounds more like an excuse to peddle the same jingoist, racist twaddle as trump about a global crisis. Parochial reactionaries and their anachronistic attitudes can't solve the problems of the world. In fact, they only make them worse.

There have been a few cases where one infected person caught the bird flu virus from another person -- but only after close personal contact. So far, there has been no sustained human-to-human spread of H5N1.

I appreciate your willingness to amend your claim from climate change to AGW theory. Climate change cannot be refuted as we are living between ice ages. There is a lot of research on the subject by people more qualified than yourself. Even they don't agree on everything.

You may keep the cheap insults coming. I never report forum violations such as yours because they don't offend me and it only reveals the inability to confidentially defend a position.

You may be on to something when it comes to pollution.
