There is 'taking it too far' though. I'd prefer a media whose facts are reliable. I don't mind 'spin' (which is just an interpretation or prediction of the effects of those facts). But when they lie, I tune out and mistrust everything they say. I find no fault with the folks who think the coronavirus is a hoax, for example. The media 'cries wolf' so much for the establishment that literally anything we don't witness with our own eyes could be an elaborate manufacture (tbc- I do believe the coronavirus is real). Having a biased media is, ultimately, freedom at work. Having a dishonest media is tantamount to having no media. I see no difference between FOX/CNN/MSNBC/etc and the National Enquirer.

 

Let's start with the pretty recent ones:

The one thing the Trump cult has cultivated among its followers is the complete rejection of critical thought. The most astonishing thing is their inability to gauge numbers. That should come as no surprise for a conman whose signature trait is hiding the facts and numbers about his success. It started from the first day with Spicer proclaiming Trump's inauguration was the largest crowd size in history, in spite of photographic evidence to the contrary.

It is this thing that propels Trumpsters to keep repeating ad nauseam their boasts of numbers not supported by anything other than the lies of Fox News. At best, Trumpsters represent only about 1/3 of the country. So no matter how much spin comes from the right wing media, there is nothing you're going to be able to do to spin Trump's lies if 2/3 of the nation sees Trump acting as a petulant child instead of acting like an adult, let alone as Commander and Chief.

This pandemic is Trump's Judgment Day. Get used to it. Sure, there is the possibility however remote, that he could pull this out of the fire, but again, just look at Trump's record. If you apply Occam's Razor to Trump, odds are he will succeed to the heights of his incompetency....and that is extremely frightening.

 

A Lie is Not an Opinion.A lie has to be a real hard fact that is denied
or provably untrue.For example if Trump was told a Lie and believed that
lie and spread it around,is it a Lie.Of course.But by Repeating that Lie that was
not of his making,should not be credited to him.
Therefore the reason Libel and Slander in a court of Law is not a piece
of cake.It has to proven to be harmful based on a falsehood.
Running around saying Harvey Weinstein is a creep,a thug and masher
is not Slanderous.Because it's true.

 

You look like you're ready for taking my bet. I know it's asking a lot of you but spend tomorrow watching MSNBC and if the reporter states one lie I will buy you a nice steak dinner. $50 should cover that pretty well. If none of the reporters tell a lie you can send me $50.00 for my steak dinner. I am not saying if a person being interviewed tells a lie I'll pay $50. After all, if they're interviewing trump we know there will be a lie told. I'm saying an employee of MSNBC will not tell a lie. Besides, you'd be investing one day in seeing what the left thinks. Or are you just flappin' your lips when you state the MSM makes up lies and deceives the country as democratic operatives?
