So, the gun-grabbers said us "Gun Nuts" were just paranoid. The gun-grabbers said you don't "need" that type/size of weapon. Gun-grabbers said the government will protect you. Now, many of those same grabbers are turning out in DROVES trying to purchase a firearm. And they're finding out the world that they created.

From a personal standpoint, the comments I've heard at crowded firearm stores here on the left coast:
"You mean I HAVE to take a test?
"Why do I have to wait ten days? I need it NOW!"
"A background check just to buy a box of .22's?"
    And my personal favorite:
"Well then, I'll just get one at a gun show."
Will the liberal/progressives learn from this?

Democrats are currently emptying the jails to make this crisis as painful as possible for America and Americans.

Be safe out there. Avoid blue areas.

A lot of anti gun nuts wouldn't be anti gun nuts if the democrats didn't demand that they be anti gun nuts. So being obedient, they are now obedient anti gun nuts.

Their version of the second amendment limits them to muzzle loaders. There are still plenty available online and at gun shows. Enjoy!

Just a few days without water or food or new shoes and things will get sporty.

Those that voted in these laws deserve to pay the consequences.

On the bright side, this might ease the stress on gun rights in the future. Here's to hoping these folks remember this next time their political choice wants more 'reasonable restrictions' or another 'responsible gun safety' initiative pops up on the ballot.

Several of the comments are exactly why there should be regulations required before people can be handed their firearm!

Being required to have safety training, waiting 10 days before taking possession are quite sensible!

I mean, cmon, waiting 10 days before you can kill your wife or neighbor is just common decency! The buyer really needs a little time to go over his excuse for his motive and execution, or the buyer can end up in jail!

Really, a little consideration to try to minimize collateral deaths, especially a visiting expectant mother could really tally up your jail time with the 2 deaths for 1 that all these bleeding hearts have added to a new shooter can get without careful preparations!

This is why, as a Liberal gun owner in California, it is essential that you plan in advance any gun related purchases just like you would plan to buy a car, or plan to buy a house. Navigating the gun laws once you have planned your purchase, while time consuming and irritating, is a fairly simple and straightforward process.

10 days are required even if you already own several guns. What is the logic behind that?

Make gun buying a hassle so that you don't bother. Gun control through bureaucratic gridlock.

If I lived in California if just take a trip to a different state to make my purchase. That way I can deny them the sales tax.

There isn’t any, there should be no waiting period but they should be registered and a new background check required for secondary sales.

    Can't do that in California.

They even send unmarked CHP vehicles to photograph CA license plates at Arizona and Nevada gun stores-then they get searched once they cross back into CA.

The supposed (lefty) "logic" was that the waiting period was to prevent crimes of passion.

And registration can sit on a tack-we all know thats a precursor for confiscation.

What about super-liberal Los Angeles not issuing CCWs to ordinary citizens so only cops, judges, and criminals carry them? The problem with creating several doors to go through is that they can close them any time they want!

It makes even more sense to check over adding additional firepower.

Look at the mass murderers who have accumulated an armory!

One or two weapons make sense in many ways, but fast purchase of guns have a real possibility of mental issues, or wanting to quickly replace guns taken by family or the law after having threatened people.

Someone can wait a few days to expand their arsenal.

Im not sure if that is legal. Even ammo requires a background check and bringing it in from another state is a crime.

There is no logic in that.
Firearm stores in other states are required to abide by the laws of the state in which the buyer resides in.
I have yet to find an out-of-state firearm store that would sell to a Californian. It's not worth the hassle for them so they don't.
I USED to buy ammunition when I was in another state. Probably not any more if they know I'm from California. If they don't even require an ID, I won't tell them if I do buy from them.

How so? Someone has 2 guns. How much more murder can they cause with 3+? Family cannot legally take guns. It would require due process and law enforcement. Wouldn't that put them on the "no buy" list?

It is interesting that people believe government is the solution to mass murder.
