Apparently, closing the southern border and banning air travel to Mexico for other than immediate family of U.S. citizens and permanent residents was beyond what ever it takes. Obama declared a national emergency just 19 days before the CDC "reported an estimated 22 million Americans had been infected with 2009 A H1N1 and 4,000 Americans have died." Biden was Obama's VP what did he do during all this but nod his head and say yes boss! Folks need to call him on this one.

You like to say so, but there is. Obama/Biden failed to close the southern border with Mexico the country of origin for the H1N1 Swine Flu nor did he restrict travel. Trump closed all travel with China as well as anything less than essential shipments from the Corona Virus country of origin. Had Obama/Biden done this with the lower mortality rate of H1N1, they could have saved a large portion of the 12,000+ lives lost. They dropped the ball and cost American lives, why would anyone vote for Biden.......the man of inaction.

 

H1N1 killed 12,000 people in a year. 365 days.

We will cross the 12,000 people dead from COVID in 4-5 days. That's 39 days. We are at 7,391 now, after 32 days, and we're growing exponentially.

We will be around 65,000 dead by May 1.

On March 30, we had 558 new deaths.

Today we had 1,320 new deaths.

Our first death was 2/29.

On March 17, we crossed 100 total deaths.

Today, 7,391 total.

My fears & evolving opinion points towards our State governors unilaterally taking 'broad brush' strokes on this; mitigating potential re-election blow back. There are many counties in some states that have NO reported cases of Chinese Wuhan Virus; - yet they are subject to the same economy crushing mandates as the "red zone" counties within their state.

The absurdly un-American notion of 'if it saves even one life' is complete BS! Many of us make calculated risks in life to achieve our dreams. Prudence & personal responsibility for ourselves & others will at some point have to be weighed in the balance of the life we strive to achieve. This is a discussion that our Nation will have to reconcile itself with in the near future - economic / fiscal devastation vs. the inherent risk involved w/ achieving the American dream...

Globalist entities like the UN, WHO, IMF et al. (& many Dem. Congress critters) are seeing this as the 'door' being cracked wide open toward the furtherance of their utopianistic agenda... More & more I'm finding corollaries with 'our way of life' to that of my beef stock! Will all of this be rolled back when the teeth of this virus has lost its grip - I fear that it will not. I'm quite certain that there are vested interests, here and abroad, that will do anything to prevent us from returning to our American birthright, ensconced in personal freedom & enumerated liberties...
