The longer period the dead are spread out, the less dead there will be as an antiviral and/or vaccine will become available.

Good point but I think there are reciprocal products desired to offset that , that we provide. At least in our hemisphere.

The starting point of the day of the 1st death, then using a 30 day period is pointless?

It’s a snap shot of the first month. A extremely valid timeframe. Monthly averages are used everywhere from weather, financial markets, sports, sales, manufacturing etc.

The fact that the number dead is not high enough to satisfy you really does not concern me. Your a death cheerleader, more death equals more ability to bash Trump. You deal with that twisted mentality anyway you want to.

"weather, financial markets, sports, sales, manufacturing" do not start from practically a zero to show trends. And there you go bringing politics into it! Just shows your true reasons for your posts. You clearly don't care about number of deaths, you just want to defend Trump at all costs no matter how foolish and obvious it is

    What are babbling about now?

Of course they all start at zero each month. How else do you determine a sports static’s for July unless you start at zero July 1st. Sales growth July over July unless you start at zero July 1st, manufacturing increase or decrease year over year unless you start at zero each month. Etc... starting at zero and measuring on a monthly basis is a tried and true method.

I do not have to bring politics into it, you already did. Trump Ragers are easy to spot, it very often can be detected in their childish rants and blame filled dribble.

What are you going on about! A new company does not state it's growth rate from day 1 of being formed and publish figures 30 days later to determine how successful it is. You are clueless and so desperate to defend Trump which was obvious from your previous post. I have not once mentioned any politics in this thread. You clearly don't care about those that have died, your clear intention is to brush away this pandemic as being nothing to be concerned about

Holy hell. You need to slow down and think.

Deaths in America are not new, your “new company” ability is pointless. Tracking an increase in deaths in America over any given time frame has to use a base number (the average I linked) to determine an increase or decrease over that time period. For the month of March it was under a 3% increase from the average number of deaths. It’s math, it’s not opinion.

But since you brought it up, yes a new company would start at day one at 0 and measure their success after 30 days based where they stood after that time period. Why on Earth would they not?

If you open a taco stand with zero tacos sold starting day one, on day 30 you would not determine how the first month went from the number of tacos you sold? You’d be a poor business owner not too.

I’m not defending Trump because he does not need me too. People dying of a worldwide pandemic virus is not his fault. Of course the nanny state weak knees who think the govt is their parent and should coddle and care for them cradle to grave might. They tend to blame others for all their misfortunes.

But that’s not me, I was raised better than that :)

Amazing how quickly people are willing to give up freedom for security. Of course those types of people seldom did anything to secure their freedom and often don’t appreciate those who have, so it’s easy for them to do so.

Assume the fetal position and wait for help to arrive is SOP for too many people these days.

Deaths from Coronavirus is a new "company" and this new "company" is seeing exponential growth resulting in doubling "turnover" every 3-4 days. Your old "company" was seeing no "turnover" growth if you are going to use a figure of 7700 deaths per day

I would happily accept that detriment if it means that those closest to me will still be here this time next year

What are you babbling about? Death is death. The virus increased the average deaths in American by 3% in its first month. That’s the point. If you don't like it or don’t agree then enjoy your futile attempts to change the math.

Use whatever timeframe you wish to try and drum up the fear, doom and dread you seem to desire. Some of us are not interested in that childish crap. :)

Your pointless to interact with so I’m done.

This shutdown will cause far greater death and destruction than the virus would have had we not done it. Group think is a hell of a thing, fear based group think is even worse.
