That they're trained and normally follow set guidelines is fine... That they can't see outside of that box and recognize the difference when thousands are dying in the US every day is not acceptable to me. Health care workers who cannot use their own brains and recognize that there are cases that need them to think outside the box, and then use their brains to respond outside the box can, and should, be replaced by computers, leaving real medical work to those who can think on their feet.

What is not true? You're suggesting that you ARE qualified to tell doctors how to practice medicine? And even on patients and cases you know nothing of? Or are you saying that doctors don't know the risks considering billions of doses given in the US? Or are you suggesting that those nurses' whose stories you read know more than the doctors? Or they know whether the doctors read charts while nurses weren't looking?

You've proven nothing ABSOLUTELY or even raised supportable questions.

Let me update my previous statement: neither you, nor the nurses, nor I, are qualified to make the decision or to advise the doctors involved on how to make the decision.

Nurses who publicly challenge the doctors rather than through any official reporting process need to be fired and, possibly, have their licenses revoked.

They were just the first links found on Google. Probably because the left-wring sources are not covering the genocide at the hands of the Democrat governors.

It is an untrue statement that Trump said, "These drugs will work," about any drug. Please try to be more thorough and honest in your posts.

Apparently they can't decide the drug may be helpful without fully completed and peer reviewed, randomized, double-blind, testing but they can decide that the drug is dangerous to coronavirus patients by reading the drug facts from drugs.com

The age difference doesn't change the studies results. What if (it's not even implied in the data but I'm playing along with your skepticism) the drug didn't help those at death's door or those over 70.. It sure as hell appears to work for those who have been tested positive and are at an average age of 46.

Those of you who appear to want more bodies to hit the floor want doctors to wait until they have some perfect drug that saves everyone with zero side-effects or risks before giving any drug to anyone - while still supporting Cuomo's cries for thousands more patient killing ventilators even though they're not needed and their safety is in serious question for many patients.

What is the mean age of those tested positive?

    How should I know?

I am a conservative and will stick with the tried and true hydroxycholiquine.

Actually I wouldn’t because there are other more promising treatments - see the WHO website

At the end of the day if you get sick you want the drugs. Period. Don't even pretend it's not true.

Why in the world would you wait til a patient was at death's door before treating them? Would you do that with a cancer patient?

LOL its not damned flawed, it's based on the trial they chose. Look I know you really want a trial so the age is 70 plus and in critical car to insure the death rate is higher but can you not be a tad open minded here and praise positive results. Just a heads up Trump didn't develop this treatment, he didn't create the drug, he didn't choose who does what trials. What he did was tell you some were seeing positive results and was optimistic this could work against the Wuhan Virus. He also preoreder 33 million pills of the stuff in case it did and he got the fda to take a look quickly vs their standard 6-12 months to for testing approval.

    Why treatment in quotes?

Take it from someone whose livelihood rests on reading medical research - this study is badly, embarrassingly flawed

For a start the profile of those patients who are getting sickest is that they have underlying cardiac disease and COVID 10 has been shown to cause cardiomyopathy (layman’s terms it makes the heart floppy and not work as well) this predisposes the patient to cardiac dysrhythmias and guess what a concerning side effect of HCQ is?

When you say there was a display of interfering in the medical arena, you mean, of course, Governor Cuomo, Governor Whitmer, and Governor Sisolak, correct? Or is there someone else interfering in the medical arena about whom we need to know?
