"It's the economy, stupid". Does anybody remember that saying? Credited to James Carville in '92. Anyway, I was thinking. Does anybody remember when all of the Trump supporters were going to "vote their pocketbooks"? And regardless of the fact that Trump is (arguably) the Worst President of All-Time... ...And, even considering that Trump has made America a Worldwide Laughingstock and totally degraded the dignity of the Presidency... ...That people were still going to vote for him because of Trump's "roaring economy"? How are Trump's supporter feeling about Friday's Jobs Report? Does anybody still think that Trump's "roaring economy" is still going full speed ahead? ___________ The first of those — called the payrolls survey — is expected to show the US economy lost 21.5 million jobs in April, according to economists polled by Refinitiv. Those record-breaking job losses would be so severe, they would wipe out nearly 10 years of job gains in just a single month. The second part of the report — the population survey — comes from data collected by the Census Bureau. Economists expect that survey to show the unemployment rate surged to 16.1% in April — marking the highest level of joblessness since the Great Depression. (Emphasis added) https://www.cnn.com/2020/05/05/economy/jobs-report-bls-census/index.html Trump's "roaring economy"? Vote your pocketbook. "it's the economy stupid" Thoughts?
Brace yourself, America, for "single worst jobs report in history" Glassdoor economist Daniel Zhao bluntly predicts "the single worst jobs report in history" when the Labor Department on Friday releases employment numbers for April. Forecasters expect the nation's jobless rate, which was at 4.4% in March, to skyrocket to an annualized unemployment rate of 15% to 20% for the April period, based on a survey of workers during the week of April 12. Trump's Roaring Economy. If he wanted to take credit got the good... He OWNS The BAD... Thanks alot, Trump...:smh:
Hey we get it, we're in Great Depression II. I just think you've got an uphill battle making this about Trump when the reasons we are actually in Great Depression II have to do with policies that that you and your side support far more than Trump's side. However if Biden wants to make the argument that the economy is terrible because Trump and that we should remain in lockdown until there is a vaccine I'm excited to hear that debate. Man, I can't wait for the Trump-Biden debates!
Debates? Good luck with that. Trump will probably refuse to debate. How could Trump possibly defend this Implosion of The Economy? That Trump is 100% Responsible for.:smh:
Hitting Donald Trump for the state of the economy right now is silly. COVID-19 and the mitigation measures necessary to combat it are not his fault. Granted, he was getting far too much credit for the economy in the first place, but the downturn isn't something that should be used as a political attack. At least not if credibility is important to you.
I think the economy is doing quite well considering the disaster we are going through. What, did you think that the economy wasn't going to be impacted during one of the great crises of our time? C'mon, I know you are smarter than that, even if you are a leftist.
I'm not surprised by this. The question is whether or not voters in November will think the state of the economy is because of Trump. That being said, how has Trump protected the economy during this time of crisis? How are people doing?
Trump's rip-roaring Economy... Only Hours Away from the Worst Jobs Report since the Great Depression... The Labor Department is expected to deliver a historically bad employment report Friday, showing millions of jobs lost last month as the jobless rate soared to around 16% — the highest level since the Great Depression. https://www.npr.org/sections/corona...will-be-brutal-but-won-t-tell-the-whole-story Trump's Virus... Trump's Recession... Trump's Depression... Trump's Job Losses... Trump's Virus... In November, informed voters will... ..."vote their pocketbooks"... Thank alot, Trump...:smh: "It's the economy stupid"...
20.5 million jobs gone in April - 14.7% unemployment... Thanks alot,Trump!:smh: It's the Economy Stupid... Vote your pocketbooks...
Nearly 15% unemployment, eh jesus christ, what the hell has dirty bone spurs done to our economy!?!?!? The economy was in great shape when BO handed the baton to dirty bone spurs...
At least they didn't fail to take advantage of a crisis. People actually approve of the government destroying an economy for politics. Pretty bizarre. The greatest generation would have disapproved.
Will America blame Trump or the Virus? That is a good question and the one that will decide the election in my opinion. If the economy would have tanked due to some government or economic reason or heck just went into a recession then Trump would have been toast. But since there is a clear cause and whats more it can be linked to Trump's favorite boogy man China he has a good shot.
