I watched the HBO special about Nick a month or two ago. He was a great player, a great businessman and a great broadcaster and a great advocate for his son and all of those who are parylized. Q Too bad he had to suffer so much in his later years. RIP Nick, you were a great man and lived a great life.
Rosie Ruiz, 66: https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/rosie-ruiz-boston-marathon-course-cutter-dies-66-n1040651 She should have run for office as a Republican - would have been the perfect fit for her. jk
re Jack Whitaker - just imagine all the stories he had after his long career in sports - defo one guy I would have loved to chatted with about sports
Not in my book. President of US Tobacco. Had no trouble killing thousands with tobacco but refused to make the connection between that suffering and his son.
Hadn't seen this before. Saw Pernell win his gold medal at the 1984 Olympics in LA. Great fighter. Probably the best of that 1984 group.
RIP Mr. Tiger Al Kaline. Dead at 85. https://www.mlive.com/lions/2020/04...ying-nationally-after-death-of-al-kaline.html
Phyllis George being put on a sports broadcast was the beginning of the demise of sports journalism. The bimboization of sports. She gleefully admitted she knew nothing about football and openly rooted for the cowboys. The obviousness of the sin is gone but they are still unqualified barbie dolls. And if you don't believe that, tell me which ones get their first big breaks in their 40's pr 50's, like the men do.
