Possibly, under the right circumstances, shooting a suspect armed only with a Taser could be justified. Problem is this Taser had already been fired. We do not know which model but most are a singe shot. After that is used up and while the battery lasts the Taser can be used by pressing the metal contacts at the front of it hard against a person and pulling the trigger. But it is a very iffy thing without the barbs, much more subject to losing contact or only making poor contact.

In this case, the police having distance from the Taser, use of deadly force being called "reasonable" is an enormous reach. With two officers in pursuit the potential of the drunken running suspect getting a gun away from either of them is laughably remote.

 

Things perfectly justified me. Even knowing what you stated here. If they didn't know that while the chase was happening you can't really hold them responsible for that knowledge.

I’ll have to look at the video again but as I recall it he was shot while firing the taser at another officer. So it isn’t quite as simple as you put it.

 

He was fired. And he wasn’t just running away. He was firing the stun gun as he was running.

In the military, soldier has a gun to defend himself. Police officer, just like a soldier, has a weapon to protect himself. If he did not use is when being attacked, he’s a poorly trained police officers.

That's just it, they should have been able to subdue him. There was an officer in a Georgia last year that shot and killed a man who was butt naked, he claimed he was in danger for his life.
