Just wondering what kind of threat he posed. He offered to walk to his sister's house. Why wasn't that allowed?

The truth is the officers would be irresponsible if they let a armed felon get away, the guy is clearly dangerous and he armed up with a stolen weapon, that requires being stopped not let go.

Then why did they let him park his own car? You can't say its because he hadn't been breathalized yet, because he hadn't received the test before offering to walk.

Actually, the taser was no longer a threat.

The real question is did the shooting officer know it was a taser? I believe it was the non shooting cops taser. For all we know he thought is was a gun.

I have to chuckle at how some folks think blacks should be able to get away with breaking the law. Somehow blacks should he entitled to run free range while the rest of us have to tow the line. Delusional thinking at best.

You can only use deadly force if the guy poses a significant threat. That has been sourced.
Fleeing with a non lethal weapon does not add up that we're talking about a significant threat.
And so you can only conclude the cops broke the law by executing that guy.

As for your logic of "They don't meet TASER with TASER they meet TASER with GUN."... I did not make up the law about when a cop is allowed to kill.

It's irrelevant what media thinks, all that matters is what TASER states about the device they designed and sell and they refer to as a less-lethal weapon which it is and that is confirmed by the article you just posted where it is stated people have been killed by TASERS which could not happen with a non-lethal weapon.

You just shot your entire argument right down the drain..

He posed a significant threat, he had armed himself with a weapon that can incapacitate and kill and no matter how you try to spin it bottom line is he was a significant threat to the general public.

That's totally irrational and defies logic..

this is not kenya or some other shithole country, an arrest in America is not a wrestling match.

why do you think its okay not to obey lawful orders in a civilised country?

    1) "may not be used unless necessary to prevent the escape," necessary because pursuing officer with taser appears to have been taken out by the stolen taser of the suspect.

    2) "and the officer has probable cause to believe that the suspect poses a significant threat of death or serious bodily harm to the officer or others," is subjective, the suspect had just attacked officers of the law, probable cause, meaning there is no reason to believe the criminal would not harm others seriously in his further attempts to remain free.

What the defense lawyers will argue is now the question; we still don't lynch yet.

Lay people observe and pretty much figure it out. That's why lay people on a jury have more power than the prosecution or the defense.

If you had actually watched the video you would understand the guy didn't even know what county he was in, nor less where his sister lived or the distance and direction to her home.

Well the latest study by the DOJ BJS (2015) indicates 53.5 million people 16 or older had been stopped by law enforcement in the previous year.

Basic math indicates the number of black men getting shot it almost not measurable despite what some here may claim.
