So you misquoted me. You made it up. Prejudice covers what I said about Churchill. You are just frothing at the mouth about it. ChUrcHiLl WaS aS bAd As HiTlEr

Well done research at Mother Theresa ... my respect! Was still wonderig why no one made an objection until now! At Ghandi also not bad ... most of these 10 points in link are not a problem, because it is an rating of Hindu cultire in itself or simply a lie ... others are true But at Martin Luther King ... sorry ... this BS with his sex affairs are still known to be untrue and that the tapes are manipulated. J. E. Hoover declared hom to his personal public enemy and he did everything ... legal and illegal ... to eleminate his enemy.
Very true. In addition a few months ago I was listening to an Indian talking to Congress. Not sure when it was but suspect the 60's or 70's. I am not good at remembering details I have only heard once so do not know his name or too many details but I can give you a rough gist. He spoke about how Indians on reservations, possibly some tribe were able to not only survive but after a very short while able to survive well using the US systems and making profits and getting better conditions. To this the US came in and did something - could have been taking half their land and he pointed out that yet again within a short period they were again not just managing but managing well. This time the US went against Treaties so severely they had no chance of being able to raise themselves so that they could stand with dignity. He was looking for things to be set right.
Yes ... what happened there in the reservations and what happened in general to crimes against the Natives is really horrible. Also, all "contracts" between the US government and the Indians weren't even worth the paper they were written on ... and that is still the case today. If any raw materials are found and / or a pipeline has to or should run exactly through a corresponding area ... then the contract is quickly worth nothing and the right-wing prominence of the USA is at the forefront in killing the contracts. Most recently Donald Trump himself in the two pipeline projects in 2017 ... and his extreme right-wing colleagues ...
If we start tearing down every historical figure who wasn't perfect then the list of those spared will be very short, Ghandi, Nelson Mandela and MLK amongst them.
Not sure what falsely accusing your son of rape, trying to cover up the murder of an American citizen by his supporters, allowing his wife to die, racist remarks about Africans or any of the other points have to do with his Hindu culture. Please point out which ones you consider ''a lie'' and what evidence you have to support your opinion. Interestingly, if you read the comments you will find a discussion about some of Mother Teresa's unpleasant actions.
I think there's a big gap between ''not perfect'' and slave trader. The statue was put up to commemorate Edward Colson's philanthropic work. There had been a decade long campaign to add a plaque to the statue pointing out where the money came from to pay for his ''charity'' work. If this had not been consistently turned down by the local council then his statue would probably still be standing by the harbour and not on its way to the museum of slavery.
You're free to make clear you were wrong or it was a misunderstanding or you did not know or something... saying that it aint a worthy cause that millions of colored people starved to death for the sake of a stockpile in predominantly white UK. But I'm guessing you will hardly respond to that at all and just rant on... which would be saying plenty where you stand. And it wasn't my opinion that Churchill was as bad as Hitler. That was according to his own freaking secretary of state. I do understand how he made that conclusion, where you fail to see pure logic.
you are obviously ignorant of the weeping angels of doctor who fame. statuary is notoriously malevolent and should be avoided whenever possible.
About Mother Theresa I agreed with you, right? And about Ghandi ... much is only a claim with no evidence that it was this way as told. Look for example South Africa ... you know that the Hindu minority in South Africa was same way target by the black people ... means here the Zulu tribes ... with attacks as the wihte were. Reasoned or not des not matter ... because after Ghandi recognized that Hindus are in this country not much more worth as the black people in the eyes of the racist regime, his view changed. Also it is a lie that he forced the seperation into India and Pakistan with all the mass killing of Hindu vs. Muslims ... the contrary is correct! Anyway ... I did and do not put a halo about the head of Ghandi
Let's go find any statues or memorials to Karl Marx, including the one on his tombstone. It's sad to think that the people who do this don't hate a slave trader - they hate the "system" that actually ended slavery in large parts of the world.
Some historian on the Australian ABC said that Ghandi was responsible for more deaths than Mao and Stalin combined. And he was writing a book about it. Not sure what he was on about - could have been about his industrial policies after Independence.
I know and heard / read about it too including some of the reasons he named are nonsense. For example that he was Anti-Muslim or that he was pro for a seperation between Pakistan and India. Also another one blamed him to be guilty for these killed in peaceful protests by British Empire police and military forces, because he knew it will happen and let it happen. This is also nonsense, because everyone knows that it is always dangerous to do any protest against the colonny masters ... so then no protest at all?
so we're supposed to thank the White Jewish Europeans and White Christian Europeans for stopping their own evil practices they indulged in for 400 years? you really do think we're all a bunch of idiots, nice to know. we love you too
it goes without saying and this forum never fails in bringing out the true nature of americans. its a gold mine
Actually, the person I was responding to is British like myself. Support for trade slavers isn't exclusive to Americans it seems.
Africans had slaves Arabs had slaves Egyptians had slaves Many native societies had slaves, some of which were later eaten. everybody at some time had slaves. England banned slavery early 1800's England sought to stop slaves being sent to America. England stopped the African and Arab slave trade. We are supposed to pull down England? What nation do YOU support as an ideal society?
