Any Klobuchar rules herself out as possible Biden running mate

    The flip side of the coin is being demonstrated here by some and that is assuming there is no Black woman qualified or capable of being vice president. Isn't that also making assumptions based on race? Could that be considered pandering to those who have problems with Blacks?

    Underlying this is the notion that woman or even a black woman wouldn’t be as qualified. There’s a long list of qualified woman to choose from regardless of ethnicity.

    It’s past time we had a qualified woman’s voice at the table. We obviously need the perspective.

    An recent example of pandering was Sarah Palin. She was in-your-face unqualified for the position.

    Most of all I’m tickled by the notion Biden would be handing the election to Trump if he choose a woman as his running mate. Yeah. That’s the ticket.

    Choose the grossly unqualified white male that’s brought us hell-on-earth because there’s a woman on the other ticket.

    Yep. White? Check. Large inheritance? Check. Mom and Pop business? Check. He’s qualified!

    Ridiculous.

    I can’t speak for anyone else, but to me, when I make decisions on which candidate I support, the gender, sexual orientation, race and ethnicity play absolutely no role. To me quality is #1. Everything else is noise.

    If you have evidence of him saying "I will pick a black woman" then provide it.

    If you don't then you are just projecting.

    Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

    Remember that one?

    My gut feeling is that he will choose either Warren or Harris, both excellent candidates.

    Do you believe Biden had the cognitive ability to just pull his very specific statement out of his ass? Please don't be foolish.
    Just to be clear, 99% of all VP candidates are chosen on the same terms be it sex, race, or ability to deliver a specific state in return. But Biden??? come on.

    No more than politicians have been pandering to males for over 200 years, I think the flip side of that is acceptable.

    Amy Klobuchar is out as VP? Such a shame. I would have voted for her.

    So, now the pick of Biden's VP is up in the air? I think the Democrats party execs should pick the vice president for Biden. I don't know if he's doing the job of vetting the VP himself.

    I completely disagree here.

    This is not pandering. All of the women he is considering are extremely competent. Amy's decision to back out was motivated by recent events, since she was a Minneapolis prosecutor, so there is no denying the Trump campaign would have used that to weigh down Biden. She sacrificed for the greater good. I respect her immensely for that.

    The two women who could help Biden the most to get to 270 have withdrawn themselves. Senator Masto, Nevada, Hispanic would keep Nevada blue, bring Arizona into the democratic fold and give Biden a decent shot at Texas. Now Klobuchar, she would Minnesota blue, most folks don't realize Hillary won Minnesota by a single point in 2016. Amy would also help deliver Wisconsin and Michigan to Biden.

    Now usually who's VP doesn't mean much. But Biden's age, the choice isn't as bland as usual. VP's usually don't help much, so the main rule is not to select one who hurts the team. Palin hurt McCain, Quayle G.H.W. in 1992. So we'll see. Right now Trump is hurting himself much more than who Biden chooses as VP. I wonder if he really wants to win.

    If you are being honest and paying attention you would admit that Trump is the autocrat.He said that he would gave liked to be president for life just as Xi is leader for life of China. He admires KimDing Dong the North Korean dictator who executed his own uncle.

    The kicker is that Trump said that the journalist should be "executed".
    So whomis the autocrat!

    I did NOT say that he said he will pick a black woman. Read my post I said that Amy Kobuchar said that he should pick a Black woman. Read the link that I posted.
    I obviously posted that Biden would be making a mistake picking a Black woman.
    If he does it will backfire on him.

    I think Biden is looking hard at Demmings. She is from Orlando and Joe needs Florida. He will lose no matter who he picks

    I do agree that she sacrificed for the greater good but Old Man Joe was pandering in the first place when promised to pick a woman.

    Back to Klobuchar! Agreed that since she is from Minnesota and the fact that she was a prosecutor there very well nay be something she said or did that would be twisted, photoshopped, voice dubbed over, her voice sliced in or out that would make FAKE NEWS by Trump.

    If I was to vote for Biden instead of writing in John Kasich AGAIN Klobuchar would be the only VP candidate to seal my vote.

    My reply is that he is not.

    If you state that picking a black woman is pandering, then one could state that picking a white man is pandering to white men.

    So, for over 200 years, men have been pandering to white men.

    See, the logic is absurd on it's face, OR, the above statement is true.

    No I didn't ,but I was wondering how it works. Do the Dems dictate everything that a candidate is going to do, who they will pick from VP to cabinet, and what actions they will take when they are president? Or just the conditions of the primary?
