From the FBI website: https://www.fbi.gov/file-repository/nics_firearm_checks_-_month_year.pdf/view Same month checks, Jan-May 2020 vs 2019, were up by about 4 million. Given the existential threat to society by the Coronavirus pandemic, this is no surprise - one can only wonder that the #BLMob riots will bring for June and July.
For the sake of clarity, the sales figure average out to approximately ninety nine thousand seven hundred and twenty four firearms sold for every day in the month of May. Or approximately four thousand one hundred and fifty five firearms for every single hour.
Does that take into account multiple firearms bought at the same time? I person can buy a number of guns under a single check because the make and model is not entered when making the check.
Totally false, if that was true firearms sale would have risen shortly after he was elected and they didn't, now there was a President Americans felt less safe about and that was Obama, he was actually named Firearms Salesman Of The Year by Modern Trader magazine, for the effect he had in greatly increasing firearms sales.
Firearm sales have consistently been higher while Trump has been President. Americans feel less safe with Trump in the WH. It's just a fact.
False again, gun sales dropped after Trump was elected and only went back up again in 2019 after the Democrats became a majority in Congress and began working on a number of anti-gun bills. 2016 Obama 27,538,673 2017 Trump 25,235,215 2018 Trump 26,181,936 2019 Trump Democrats take Congress 28,369,750 It a shame you cannot even read the actual data provided by FBI NICS, I guess your anti-Trump narrative is more important to you than your credibility.
No Spin. Gun sales have skyrocketed this year because Americans feel less safe than they did 5 or 10 years ago. The economy is crap. Unemployment is high. GDP is way down. And Trump is in the White House. There is simply no way to get around those facts.
No need - I addressed what needed to be addressed. You presented a post-hoc fallacy, and I called you on it.
Trump is in the White House, is he not? When Obama was in the White House, you said he caused gun sales to rise. Therefor, the person in the White House has a direct impact on gun sales. Gun sales are up with Trump in the White House.
While your fallacy is simple, its is not a fact. You are not qualified to speak for Americans. The riots drove many of my Democrat friends to buy guns.
And they will still be among those who claim it is simply too easy for anyone to legally acquire a firearm in the united states.
“We saw, certainly, people buying a lot of guns after Barack Obama was elected because people thought, ‘Oh my God, they’re going to take away my guns.’
Now we are seeing, "God, Trump is not in control and the economy has gone to crap ..." and people are buying more guns.
Yea so, it still has nothing to do with Trump, but I guess you can't let loose with you paid for anti-Trump narrative.
