The ACA had plenty of conditions for a person to have any insurance. Few were able to comply.

It killed many insurance contracts and it must be ruled unconstitutional.

Even today, despite the ACA, my own son in law was almost ruined by his doctor bills in the past year.

 

So Trump is not going to replace Obamacare - that is up to Congress?

 

And you are trying to tell us a UHC would not be better?

My beef with healthcare laws lies in the fact that it’s not something our federal government supposed to do. Constitution does not provide for taxpayer healthcare.
The US is a federation where states have huge powers. My state legalized MJ for recreational use while we still have states that prohibit even medical pot. Our electoral college exists because each state as entity adds weight to vote count. My state provides healthcare even to freshly unemployed, for free. I used it myself when I was between jobs. I don’t want my taxpayer money going towards people’s healthcare who have jobs because they should have options and be able to pick what they want at their price. So, why should federal government manage this instead of states? Each state already has its own healthcare laws with various options available, which were voted on my locals. Anyone who is unhappy should probably address their state governments instead of the feds.

 

If the so-called Affordable Care Act were a politician, it would be Rapin' Joe Biden, the corrupt and demented racist.

In other words, a thing so repulsive only a Democrat could love it.
