I've always considered language to be a more significant factor in the growth of a civilization, do than flags. So, I have ask... How does your perspective address the linguistic perspective?
I responded to your general point, but let me tackle this examples you give, because you were seeking to further your myths. And I like to expose them! First, I don't know if it was coincidental that you chose to mention "Newton's laws of physics" or it was informed, but it did touch on when scientific understanding of the laws of the material world began to move ahead of what had been developed in Iran already. Until then, however, the 'revolution' by Copernicus was merely an addition to what Persian scholars had already developed to refute the Ptolemaic conception of the universe. In fact, without Tusi (a Persian polymath) and the Tusi Couple, there would not have been a Copernican revolution to begin with! That is very clear, even if scientists until recently didn't know how Copernicus had come across the works of Tusi. https://sites.uwm.edu/nosonovs/2018/07/09/778/ Similarly, the idea the flat earth dogma was also challenged by Muslim scholars, one of whom (again a Persian), named Biruni, was able to even calculate the circumference of the earth by a formula he developed hat showed the 'known world' (an ethnocentric concept itself, given that their were natives in the 'unknown world') was actually only 2/5ths of the earth's surface. That there was another 3/5ths that were not yet discovered. He did this using only mathematics and some calculations, without having to sail around the world! This is a great video on how Biruni combined algebra, trigonometry and some basic formulas to develop his experiments and calculations: A more sensationalist title, but one that captures what scholarship has shown HERE, would be: https://www.disclose.tv/abu-raihan-...nd-500-years-before-columbus-600-years-315917 Abu Raihan al-Biruni discovered America & the Earth is round, 500 years before Columbus & 600 Years before Galileo But, yes, the "Newtonian revolution" advanced (for its time) the understanding of the universe and that was genuinely a "Western" contribution to the sciences. Like all contributions, built on so much developed elsewhere, but far more 'Western' than many other things that the West claimed as it own.
Language is critical to development and growth of any civilization. It is the medium to connect thoughts (rational or otherwise), experiences, knowledge and myths, and all the things that go into forming a culture and civilization. No doubt about that. My perspective on what you mention, however, is that it too is part of the process of adapting things and bringing it under your 'flag'. That has been also a major part of the acculturation process in many different parts and eras in history. From the earliest spread and development, for instance, of what is called "Indo-European" languages to the various languages that each spread to reflect which flag or culture was in vogue at some particular time in history.
If you didn't read my post I'll be more clear this time, I do not like neoliberalism and if you wanna here what I do like I'll quote my previous post with you.
Isn't the Trinity a neo-Platonist thing? Nobody thought the Earth was flat. The Greek Aristarchus first calculated its true Circumference of 25000 miles by study of the sun shining down into wells in Egypt. Ptolemy incorrectly estimated it as 18,000 miles and this was what made Columbus sail East to get to Asia. Had he known the real distance he probably would have never gone.
Wasn't me. It was... http://www.politicalforum.com/index.php?threads/end-the-scourge-of-white-supremacy.573796/
And my real point, which wasn't about the semantics of how you described earlier beliefs based on ancient Greek calculations: a Persian polymath, named Biruni, estimated the size of the earth correctly. And did so by relying on mathematics, in the process showing that the 'known world' was only 2/5th of the world. As for the mathematics of Ptolemy, many other Persian mathematicians had already shown its faults. One of them, Tusi, I have already mentioned. He was a polymath whose contributions spanned many fields, including coming up with a theory of evolution long before Darwin. There were many others too, which you can read about in this book: Or you can read Wikipedia if you wish: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_trigonometry
To start complicated tax codes. Smaller businesses cant higher multiples of accountants and lawyers among other issues with the tax codes. Probably the biggest are joint employment rules. The minimum wage in very few cases. Mainly talking about state minimums where in the city's it may or may not be an issue when they raise the minimum wage to 15 but it may be an issue to a rural town restaurant.
Apparently even Woodrow Wilson was racist, ie, supported segregation in the US, and the KKK! https://news.yahoo.com/princeton-remove-woodrow-wilsons-name-210032249.html (Yet he was instrumental in the formation of the League of Nations).
OK, but you DO you like the free market with minimal government intervention, as stated in your post #607: "I am opposed to government intervention in most areas you would be correct. I dont believe government is the solve of the problem they have helped create". I'm here to say the free market - without the correct government intervention - guarantees entrenched poverty, which is what we have including black unemployment rates double that of whites even in the best of times. Further, the necessary intervention involves money creation in the public sector, as well as in the private sector as at present; otherwise the system just pits citizen against citizen which is what we have in the current economic orthodoxy. http://www.politicalforum.com/index.php?threads/mmt-overcoming-the-political-divide.569365/ No doubt against your ideology, though...
Perhaps your community should consider fixing its problems rather than waiting for someone else to do it for you.
I agree that the White Supremacy should be removed from this country. Though I do not know how it can be done. We can put those that commit a crime in jail, but the organization is protected by the First Amendment's Free Speach clause. If it could be done, we should not stop there. We need to also end the scourge of ANTIFA, BLM, La Rosa, and the other DNC motive to divide this country through fake narratives. These are just as dangerous to national security as the white supremacy organizations.
I think it's astroturfed. Over the last couple of years people in the media have been driving at this division in the races. It doesn't really exist outside of The far-left Fringe and the institutions they hold. What I think will happen is over the next couple of years maybe even two decades the scum in the institutions will let their true colors be known and will be run out.
The community will require government assistance, because past discrimination created poverty, and poverty now creates discrimination (by employers). The only way to eliminate poverty is via a government instituted above poverty Job Guarantee, obviously, because the current neoliberal system guarantees un-employment which is always worse for blacks than for others. (see the NAIRU).
On the contrary, that day is here now, and what propels it is not any "SJW" or "Woke" ideo-philosophy but simple economics. If you live near an international harbor go down and look at the giant cranes and the container yards. See the huge container ships, bigger than anything that has ever sailed before. If you don't live near a seacoast, look carefully at the containers on a train next time you see one. They are what is making our world global and they are doing that based on their ability to make our lives better, the one force that truly cannot be denied.
