Before Trump got elected, I said Trump would build a little stretch of wall, and that would be that.

    Guess what.

How long does it take to cut through a 30 foot steel wall filled with 5 feet of reinforced concrete?

    Do you have a video?

I think it's a very polite move. We should make future democrat voters as welcome as possible.

That doesn't make sense, but that's hardly unusual here.

You can make a much shorter list by asking who supports it.

    Landowners don't, a lot of Republicans don't.

    It's dumb.

    Love the bigotry...

I was being polite, the wall is a brain dead idea.

On the laughable assumption you were serious, vote Progressive...

If you want Americans to do that work, you will have to increase pay, and improve living and working conditions.

It's Pelosi's fence created to be defeated easily..........

This is a WALL. If you want Americans to do that work, cut off the flow of cheap illegal labor. Wages will rise to get Americans to do the work. Supply and demand 101. Will people still climb over......yes, but only the very brave as it's 30 feet high. With imbedded sensors, we can detect climbers and tunnelers and greet them with handcuffs.

    Don't need a wall. Just a deterrent.

There is already a shortage of workers, farmers are having trouble getting people to do the work.

Americans simply won't tolerate the exposure, and other parts of that life.

The results of Trump's actions have more holes in them than Swiss cheese.

Immigration reform isn't needed, just enforcement of existing laws and removal of the birthright citizenship for anchor babies.
Imagine how effective it would be if they caught an illegal immigrant and deported him/her the same day. No cries of breaking up families because the family is at liberty to join the deportee in their home country if they wish.

    Total BS.
I live in an agricultural area, and every time ICE has a raid and starts deporting the illegals working on the farms the farmers start crying "We had to employ illegals because we can't get locals to do the jobs".
I check all the back copies of our local news paper and not one farmer has ever placed an ad asking for workers. They would much rather have non complaining frightened workers they can pay below minimum wage and keep the SS and insurance that they should be paying for themselves. End this, prosecute the farmers, and you will see a dramatic drop in illegals crossing into the US.
It's not just the US, for years in the UK they have hired foreign seasonal workers using the same justification that they can't get any of the locals to do the job. Again this was always BS and the true reason was the reluctance of the farmers to pay a living wage.

    Perhaps.

I don't have a problem with regulating that, although getting something like you want through Congress won't be easy.

I thought you said they'd have to pay more to get Americans to do the work? This is how it happens.
