Spoiler alert: It's like talking to a toddler.

Former FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe recounts his experience briefing President Donald Trump after the White House defended Trump from accusations that he does not read his briefings.

    An excerpt:
"It was widely known that if you wanted the president's attention, you had to bring a video with you to the briefs. Something animated, something with pictures, and if you did not have that, you probably would not get much engagement from the president on your issue."

For all intensive purposes Cruella Clinton is locked up. No one sees here anymore. It's like a breath of fresh air these days...

So you are of the opinion that Trump sits down, as every other president except GWB before him, every morning and reads his PDB? And, as an aside, do you think its an important task for him to do?

You need to go outside your climate change bubble of denial more often. Don't forget the sunscreen.
DOJ will not charge ex-FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe, a frequent Trump target
    https://www.cnbc.com/2020/02/14/doj...et-andrew-mccabe-a-frequent-trump-target.html

As for your deflection, if you are implying the admin's disgraceful treatment of McCabe has some bearing on the veracity of what he said there are plenty of other people who corroborate Andy's observations. Oh.........wait...........almost forgot..........that's all part of the highly paranoid "deep state, fake news, they're all out to get me" smoke screen Don created that members of The Following have a hard time seeing through.

You have to admit though, all the "we got him now" hysteria Trump created in order to keep you folks clamoring for red meat and clapping like trained seals was effective. The show must go on.

"But in a letter to McCabe’s attorneys, the Justice Department said that “after careful consideration, the government has decided not to pursue criminal charges against your client.”

“Based on the totality of the circumstances and all of the information known to the government at this time, we consider the matter closed,” the letter said."

The pursuit of McCabe by Trump was always about keeping the rubes entertained and in a frenzy about the fictional deep state. Now the curtain has been drawn and we see it was a ruse all along. What's a Trumper to do? Get ready for the next act to begin, of course. Turn your TV to "Obamagate!" Oooops. I think that show has already been cancelled.

Gosh, that must have hit a nerve. And sure, the last iG didn't produce, it also doesn't mean that a future charge isn't also likely. There are several more opportunities here. I get that you have something you feel you have to protect, and you're wiling to do, say, write whatever it takes, no? We've seen you do this, repeatedly on this forum. A great question is why? Who's allegiance are you trying to keep here? And frankly, it is clear, by whom and what you support and advocate around here that perhaps you should ask yourself that question. I doubt you'll like what the answer is.

So what you're really suggesting after this........"But in a letter to McCabe’s attorneys, the Justice Department said that “after careful consideration, the government has decided not to pursue criminal charges against your client.”

“Based on the totality of the circumstances and all of the information known to the government at this time, we consider the matter closed,” the letter said."

.................is there's a possibility the DOJ will get a directive from Trump to "find something." More or less the reverse of what they did with Flynn's case.

You've certainly made it clear where your allegiance lies. Something for which, if you possessed any humility, you'd admit to being ashamed for making such a colossal misjudgment.

Hmm.. not reading sometimes is a problem. But there are several other ongoing investigations that weren't covered by the letter. Perhaps you just ignored that part. As for "trump says find something", you were super ok when you discuss exactly that when discussing folks like Flynn or Page, et al. No? So which is it? You think it is just ok for your folks? That seems sloppy. But the onus here is for you to explain how the current investigations are being driven in the same way that Obama did. (Which you seem to be ok with it elsewhere), and unfortunately, your full throated defense of Andrew seems to be like suggesting that Benedict was just misunderstood even though he actually switched sides and wore a Red coat... But sure.

McCabe is in a long long line of those fired by Dirty Donald justified or unjustified.

    Why?

Odds are it's pages of unimportant information. Do you think that if Russia invaded Europe that the president wouldn't know about it because he didn't read his daily brief?

I wish you'd try to be less vague so I know what the hell you're talking about. OTOH, I get the strong sense that if we pursue this discussion it's going to go straight down the fever swamp rabbit hole. A place I'd rather not go in order to maintain my sanity. Cuz, admittedly, it drives me nuts when I see references made to those like Lisa Page. Someone you should be staying a thousand miles away from since her baseless character assassination should be a matter of embarrassment and regret by Trumpletons, not reveled in.

"your full throated defense of Andrew" You are conflating the DOJ realizing any attempt to fulfill President Shithole's (and your) hyperventilated dream of criminal prosecution of a falsely accused, nasty deep stater was always going to fail..........with something I've written. All I did was make you aware of a fact. They consider the matter closed because there is no offense serious enough to prosecute. Once again, I can only imagine your disappointment. Get used to it. Because in the end the accusations made against the Pages and the McCabes are about theater, not substance. They are part of Don's stage act. An act meant to keep you entertained. I'm embarrassed for you that you haven't figured that out yet.

Are you citing the same McCabe who tried to overthrow the presidency and was fired for lying to DOJ inspector general investigators? That McCabe?
