Do you have another Earth-wide pandemic to compare it to?

More than 50k new cases in one day. You have a strange definition of "suppressed."

I suspect we'll see another drop in unemployment once the $600/week unemployment bonus ends at the end of this month. People will no longer be being paid more to stay at home than they were earning working, so they'll have more motivation to get back to work.

Just open. Protect those at risk as best we can. This opening and closing, without a cure or a universally effective treatment is adding to the pain. Our response has a death count all its own that must be counted in the total cost.

In short were gambling with innocent lives in hopes the delay will produce a cure. Non Covid-19 deaths are up in almost every category.

    117,000,000 not working but eating!!!
    October 15, 2013
RUSH: We've got a lot of people -- look, 90 million Americans -- I love to put it this way 'cause I think it's the proper perspective. Ninety million Americans are not working, Donna, but they're eating. What does that mean? That's over 10 New York Cities that are not working. But they're eating, which means somebody's buying their sustenance, and that somebody is somebody else, is the government. They are eating.

The jobs report is good because it's an indicator that the economy is otherwise strong and we should expect a good recovery.

Don't get triggered and try to use some dumb anecdote. 4.7 million jobs is over 150k a day for the month. You said COVID cases are growing faster than jobs. What day have we seen 150k COVID cases?

If you find the day I'll send you $1000 via paypal. That's probably more than one week's salary for you at any point in your life.

The Ship has sailed on Any (even remote) Chance of a "Trump Re-Election"...

At this point, Trump is only trying to thread the needle to hold Biden under 300 EV (to avoid a Total Humiliation).

    Well, you've flattened the curve..

    Too bad it's vertically

Lol no it isn't. It's an indicator that people are returning to work after the last 3 months being stuck at home.

That's like being happy that instead of sinking under water, your headed back to the surface. Sure, your going in the right direction, but you still can't take a breath yet.

Yep, I hope Trump allows this to end.
One way to stop civil unrest is by sending them to work.

Or idk address it or the economy in general at all.

States have paused re opening and wheres Trump? Giving either radio silence or talking about effing statues

I think they just dont want to win at this point by the amount of head being buried in the sand about the importance of this virus and it's effects on peoples jobs.

~ "New cases" means new testing of people already exposed. New hospital admissions and deaths are flat and falling. Most of us are likely already positive for Wuhan flu.

Republican Governors are being forced into reversing their re-openings because the virus case numbers are spiking in their State.

Literally every sentence here is wrong.

The testing positive percentage is increasing as well and thus, the "new cases" are the result of more community spread.

New hospital admissions and deaths are rising in pretty much every State that is seeing their cases spike.

The best estimate from the CDC puts the percentage of the US that has been exposed to the virus at around 5-7%, which is still 10x more than the reported count but no where near "most."

Truthfully, I am disgusted with the corporate/establishment wing of the Dem party as well. They are in big part responsible for the rise of a of a slimeball such as Trump and the sooner more folks realize that the better chance we will have of getting this country back on the track is was designed to be on and not just working for the entitled few.

"New hospital admissions and deaths are rising in pretty much every State that is seeing their cases spike."

And this is where if I was Pelosi I'd say "gee I wish someone would've passed legislation to help hospitals as admissions rise...... oh wait I did"
