    Im expecting yelling and shoving when somebody offends somebody else’s anthem signs of respect. Perhaps we can just do both at once to make it really a cluster.

    They could go EPL where the opposing fans can not sit next to each other.

    I have several problems with the Star Spangled Banner. First off it's virtually impossible to sing unless you are an accomplished vocalist. What does it have to do with football and baseball? I guess they used to play it movies back during the war. Which war? For my generation when someone mentioned THE WAR hey were always talking about WWII Stylistically I don't mind the straight forward instrumental versions, but I dislike jazzed up soul versions.

    The news was first reported by The Undefeated, which is owned by ESPN.

    According to the source, “Lift Every Voice and Sing” will be played before “The Star-Spangled Banner.” This will begin with the nationally televised first game of the season, which is on September 10, when the defending Super Bowl champions, the Kansas City Chiefs, host the Houston Texans


    It's not replacing the NA. It's in addition to and only 1st week.
    How's that segregation?

    Yeah losing a team sucks. Lost the Oilers but now it’s a blessing in disguise as no way I would watch the social train wreck the NFL has become. So with them gone it’s that much easier for me, have not watch a single game in over a decade :)

    I like the Mets, mainly cause I hate the Yankees :)

    very odd to me. so people of color are not Americans? how about we all unite under one flag and one National Anthem. this will just lead to more segregation, them/us.

    I am an immigrant to America, legal that is, and I celebrate America! Best country in the world imo. Proudly stand for the National Anthem, the American that is.

    Frankly I'm shocked that the NFL isn't also tossing in national anthems for everyone else, since we no longer have just one.

    Also, is the Star Spangled Banner the "White" anthem?

    I find it just ridiculous and shameful how some white Americans get upset in the forum about everything that has to do with #BLM and what is happening there like now in the NHL.

    OK ... freedom of expression and everyone has the right to have an idiotic opinion, which I respect of course ... but ... are you all White Power / KKK jerks ot tending to them somehow in your opinion that all this upset you so hard ... or what is the reason?
