https://news.yahoo.com/rocket-lab-latest-mission-zealand-023833760.html Rocket Lab: Latest mission from New Zealand lost in flight The American launch company that flies its rockets out of New Zealand has lost its latest mission. Really couldn't Australia offer a better launching platform? Moi
And we were surprised? No. Because we understood that flattening the curve meant were in for the long haul.
it's mostly Andrews' fault who stuffed up the quarantine and wouldn't take a firm stance against protestors like NSW did.... it's costing the economy $2billion a day
It wasn’t just protestors. We can’t blame the govt for our stupidity. 90 students from one school were positive- don’t know how we should manage schools.
well speak for yourself (on stupidity) I blame the government as it was; 1. dumb to allow protests in the middle of a pandemic and (NSW took a firm stance against) 2. They hired security staff that were not qualified https://www.msn.com/en-au/news/aust...ction-cluster-at-melbourne-towers/ar-BB16rWyV
Security staff are knuckle draggers who do cert 2 in security operations. “The course will consist of 17 days full-time attendance during the day or 34 nights attendance in the evenings. Day classes commence from 8.30am till 4.30pm and Evening classes commence from 6.00pm till 10.00pm. Instructors are all recognised with several years of industry expertise holding relevant security experience, training and secondary teaching qualifications.“
Australia's Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Nick Coatsworth, also dismissed claims the spike could be linked to the protests, telling reporters that "there is no evidence that there has been chains of community transmission that we are aware of through the Black Lives Matter protests". https://newsapp.abc.net.au/newsapp/12391628?itm_campaign=newsapp#blmau
Sally!!!! I'm shocked.... knuckle draggers... Either way they needed a crash course in pandemic security or whatever the other states did to keep the virus from spreading from quarantine
So you have thousands of people, in close quarters together and they say there's no evidence... how about NOT SOCIAL DISTANCING... that is evidence
I mean there's Queensland, complaining about the nightclubs not social distancing.... but somehow the protests are ok.... hypocrisy, they simply don't have the guts to criticise the left...
Gladys was lucky that she was able to suppress the demo. I agree that it was a risky proposition, but community transmission was low.
I was in our local supermarket yesterday at 5 pm. They already had tapes out for one in, one out and many pallets of loo paper! We can’t say the supermarkets haven’t learned. I think we did get complacent and were saying smugly to ourselves. Were good, better than all the rest.
How do they know community transmission was low for Victoria... there were protestors who tested positive but they are keeping it all very quiet... let's not criticise the protests... they are sacred
It's been more than two weeks since tens of thousands of Australians gathered for Black Lives Matter protests and the country has not experienced a major spike in COVID-19 cases linked to the events. Despite strong warnings in the lead-up, so far only four people who attended the Melbourne protest have tested positive to coronavirus and experts say it is unlikely they spread it to other demonstrators. "We've seen more cases, but they don't appear to be linked to the protests," Professor Peter Collignon, an infectious diseases expert at the Australian National University, told SBS News. 22/6/20 https://www.sbs.com.au/news/did-aus...tter-protests-cause-a-spike-in-covid-19-cases
oh look what I found, tucked away in some obscure corner of the internet to not shatter the sacred illusion of the superhuman abilities of protestors to not spread viruses https://www.msn.com/en-au/news/aust...to-double-standards-over-protests/ar-BB16qhUX
Honestly this issue drives me nuts... just think about it, how come the negligence by the knuckle draggers are being blamed when thousands of people marched through the streets in close proximity... how is it not logical that the protests will spread the virus, especially if some of them tested positive, not everyone gets sick and it could take weeks to manifest symptoms if ever where's that head banging emoticon when you need it
“A report which traced Covid-19's mutation in Victoria found that hotel staff cases were the "ancestors" of ones found later in suburban homes. So how did the virus spread? Allegations of blame have been levelled at private security firms contracted to operate the state's quarantine. Neighbouring New South Wales took a different approach - using the police force. Victoria has faced accusations of systemic failures such as guards being improperly trained or not given enough PPE. Mr Andrews has also described cases of illegal socialising between staff, listing examples of workers sharing a cigarette lighter or car-pooling. Local media also reported claims of sex between guards and quarantined travellers. The government has ordered a judicial inquiry into their quarantine operation and fired the contractors.“ I don’t think that having a big demo was wise, but it hasn’t been shown that the demo was the cause of the spike in cases.
